What’s most insulting is how they respond to people who are giving their perspective consideration, but never ever listen to anything the other side is saying. They only say “it’s more fun” over and over broken record style. That’s very disrespectful, and I would consider it trolling. They are just trying to incite a reaction, they do not want to progress the dialogue. How is that not trolling? Plus they are literally a troll warrior.

Yeah, some of us were trying to talk about some of the ideas and reasons why we like parts of Pathfinder. The overall concept isn’t bad. I think it’s just the way they implemented part two that ruffles feathers.
But in these types of threads, things get lost easily.

Except that’s not what happened at all. They had an opinion and an argument. You simply didn’t like it and decided to label them.
That is what has happened over the past two days. I have tried engaging with this same individual to the same extent, and they don’t listen. You haven’t tried, you don’t know what you’re even on about.
It’s one thing to have a real argument, but to just blindly position and repeat your same opinion over and over, ignoring everything the people you are arguing with are saying, that is called trolling.
Please don’t project your lack of self control onto other people thanks.

Why does anyone need it? That question constantly gets answered around here.
Because it makes the game more enjoyable. Because it gives a player agency of movement in an open world rather than forcing the player into content they may not enjoy (dailies).
There’s only one reason Pathfinder exists at all. It’s not to get players to see all the content or all the fantastic art the designers have created. It’s to fulfill a data metric. Why else do you think the main form of end-game content is dailies now? Doing dailies ups “player engagement.” Pure and simple.
And as such it violates good open world game design which puts the player’s enjoyment first. Not the developer’s interests. Instead we all have a list of chores to be done before we can pursue what we enjoy because of Pathfinder.

If everyone is running away from you then you just need to git gud. A decent compromise would be I get flying…full stop.
Pathfinder is fine. I just wish they’d make the acqusition more organic in the sense that you play and acquire it rather than “here’s the list for p1 see you in half a year with an update”.
They don’t get it and never will because they view it as a choice. It’s also a choice to drink alcohol like crazy the night before a tournament to increase the level of difficulty, since I like a challenge right? Might as well go out of my way to add artificial difficulty to my life in every regard, since I like challenge. edit: Since it might have been unclear, /s
The truth is though, I hate having to force myself into an experience. People don’t have to do pathfinder, the game is designed around ground mounts now. It’s more efficient with flying, but that’s all. There is absolutely nothing we’re missing out on without pathfinder unlocked. It’s not a flying world anymore.

Then you’d be fine to just stay on the ground if that’s what you prefer while letting those that want to fly enjoy themselves.

I looked over this thread, and you’ve never responded to rstyshcklfrd? You’re on his side lol, you have been attacking pathfinder on their side, but yeah, I do not believe you actually engaged with the individual in question?

Technically you do just play and get it, its just on hold until all the landmasses are released.
I do like Rhielles idea of part1 being what’s here, then ground mounts till part2 for new zones.
