just ignore
I would be fine with her returning but she needs to take a back seat and be a minor character for a while.
Pretty sure sheâll play an important role in midnight.
Nah, she can stay gone for a while
Evil since day 1 and we all gotta go âoh no poor herâ instantly but super condemn every other person who was ever undead-ed
How can you say that as a DK, as if Alexstrasza didnât give you the biggest pardon in history.
Absolutely not, mon.
They should have just told me where the body was
My demands were very reasonable, not like they were using the body
This is very fair, really.
nah, I wrote above why I think itâs a bad idea
âReturningâ is⊠overall a straight up ânoâ. But it is extremely unlikely we arenât going to see her again as a character in flashbacks, cutscenes, or because someone really, REALLY need an amazing tracker⊠and Huln was forgotten about.
Saurfang(the traitor) challenged her in a fight to the death. what did you think was gonna happen?
If saurfang had followed order, as he was sworn to do, Malf would be dead. and the world would be a better place.
Iâm certainly not a Sylvanas fan, there were a lot of things that she did that were horrible. Iâve almost exclusively played Alliance since I started, I have a main on Horde so I can see the other side of the stories. The fight to save those in Darnassas gave me nightmares, that was horrific and the one thing I wanted to do more than anything was kill Sylvanas. Then she kidnaps Anduin, who is probably my favorite character (outside of Khadgar) and the forced possession had me gunning for her for sure.
Her time in the Maw will be good, saving those who were sent there due to her actions. It should be that she can talk to each, have to hear the stories over and over about being burned alive, suffocated with smoke, holding their child in the water, hoping to survive. She should come out of there with enough shame and self-loathing that she will want to take a step back and learn to live with herself and with the world that, in many ways, will never forgive her.
Thereâs a lot of things I could think of to do with her story going forward, not an easy path but something that would give her, eventually, a path to redemption. Try saving someone in the fight to retake something, Something heroic that will at least bring some show of wanting to make good. I donât think she can lose her snark, being Sylvanas will always have that. It may manifest in her thinking her penance has been fulfilled and she doesnât want to lead, wanting to stay in the background but maybe having some strong opinions that would eventually make her break with the Horde and make her own group. And the Forsaken Council will have something to say about all this, sheâs no longer the Banshee and certainly not Queen. But sheâs still undead, just has her soul back and sheâs still Forsaken. Thereâs some anger there we could see and work with.
Iâm an author so I tend to think in those terms, what kind of changes in a character can work and the drama that comes from trying to redeem the unredeemable, political will versus having to give up everything you knew. Thereâs a lot of good story in there,
I do want her to come back, if nothing else to be a foil for some of the drama as we go forward.
She did nothing wrong.
I do not think Sylvanas should return, ever at all. Her story has had a conclusion, which its pretty rare for faction characters in WoW, whp werenât killed off at least.
I do feel bad for Forsaken players who are stuck with CaliaâŠbut itâs very fitting themstically for a Menethil to take the throne or at least a leadership role for the Forsaken.
I go with no because thereâs no reason for NPCs to welcome her back after her bargain with the Jailer. Even if she was changed when the Jailer gave her back her soul.
But we know if Blizz wants her to return, theyâll get her to return no matter how hole filled the story/plot is.
Easy we just got a new tree she could burn that one down would make me like her even more.
Thinking quick about how threads like these look juxtaposed to the âwe need more warâ threads.
Sylvanasâ character went beyond âfantasy evilâ and, perhaps, into the realm of the unacceptable for a game that isnât rated R.
I hope she never returns.
But I also know Warcraft, and I fully expect her to return. I would anticipate this to happen either right before or during the middle patch of the Midnight expansion, just in time to personally be the driving force that causes the elven races to set aside their millennia of differences and unite - under her. Turns out, her experience in Shadowlands will be exactly the insight we need to stop the void and protect Azeroth. Blah blah blah.
Bruh,
She stepped on everyone and everything to achieve her own personal goals. She couldnât even stay loyal to the one she sold-out everything to! Most untrustworthy character ever.
She can rot and be forgotten in the Shadowlands for rest of the gameâs lifespan for all I care. Many of our original leaders are gone anyway, so why not put her to rest and make way for a fresh character?
