Yesterday, I made an active attempt to be kicked from group.
I was playing a very powerful level 70 character with good Dflight gear in classic TW. I went a different direction from the group and started fighting things (it was that Dire Maul with the Tree Guy who has to open the door for you)
I killed a boss while they fought a different one. The mage and hunter died 4 or 5 times total (I had queued as a healer to add to grievances by not healing anyone). Eventually we met back at the Satyr guy. I did not rez these guys at ALL until the first satyr guy we met at lmao.
I, with my better movement speed because of OP gear, ran far ahead of the group and fought things we didnât need to. I then AFKed for 3 minutes while the rest of the group caught up and then cleared down the spiral stair case to the last boss who is like a tree satyr or something.
I joined them after the mage died and hunter died again.
After the boss was killed, I rezzed.
The tank and the hunter typed âggâ and everyone else left group.
That was the only communication during the entire the run. Although I was actively patronizing the group by playing like a complete bafoon, things that never happened were:
- I was never called mean names or explicitives
- I was never removed from group
So I really dunno whats going on with these forum posts. Kicks literally do not happen, even when youâre trying

You did a naughty whether you want to admit it or not. Worst would be if you legit donât know because that means you were playing too obliviously.
People donât kick for no reason when groups are going swimmingly. Why in the world would a group of mid to possibly even right of bell curves want to take a shot at dumping someone and getting replaced with a statistically higher chance at someone left of the bell curve?
So you used the ghostbuster method of clearing the dungeon⌠Spread out so you can cause more damage that way.
Good plan Ray.
You and I have been around longer and know better. Itâs also why you and I donât get kicked.
the data comes from all those anecdotes, and ive found that those who scream the loudest about your anecdotes would foam and writhe and spit on the incontrovertible data if it disagree with their emotion driven views.
a lot of us have seen enough bogus kicks of others in game to know that its way beyond anecdotes and easily provable data.
You were probably in a follower dungeon and you didnât realize it.

Whatâs that saying about anecdotal evidence again?

lmaoâŚI dont believe a single word of your obviously embellished story friend.
and this forum since TWW dropped yugely disagrees with your assessment, sorry
This is a really good way to put it.
Iâll say the answer Iâve been seeing most is that these people who get kicked have this boogeyman of a group of friends or guildmates who go around just kicking people at random for the giggles, and they always think thatâs what happened to them.
Nah⌠they have proven time and time again to take zero accountability for their actions. Itâs always blame someone else for their own bad behavior.
Maybe they did not like your mog setup
The mog setup isnât that bad thou⌠I say this while also not being a fan of the color blue.
Oh⌠well in that case, justified.

You could say you didnât pass the Trial of Style.
Yeah, thatâs true. Good thing I get 30 minutes to self reflect on it, right?

certainly according to the kicking ragers in here, lmao.
Yours isnât terrible. Iâd totally kick Lio for their mog though (among other reasons). Zero creativity. Below zero, in fact.

you just know THAT one and his sort ARE the ones kicking for no valid reason lmao
What about metaphorically? Makes me wonder.
