Wrong, they want to reduce the time gating in the game.

Same is true for you statement. Kek.
I do not believe that Metro was staking out a serious removal-of-flying position there, bro. Relax.
So, then what exactly is the problem with that?
I do not believe that Metro was staking out a serious removal-of-flying position there, bro. Relax.
Metro wants:
LFD removed.
LFR removed.
Queuable content removed.
Flight removed.
Sorry, but this is ridiculous. No-fly areas have actually restricted zone design a lot. We can’t have these big, grand zones like Icecrown or Zul’drak anymore. Flying allowed is to go to the highest places and to reach the edges of the map. There was always something everywhere in the older zones, which can’t be said for Kul Tiras and Zandalar.
If we can’t fly and explore the world, it’s pretty damn sad.
Very strongly disagree.
Terrible plan that Blizz already tried and failed at.
He’s part of the blizz can do no wrong crowd lol. Metro, and the other cuskin are two peas in a pod lol.
If I don’t believe your claim, the onus is on you to actually prove you’re not talking out of your butt.
I’ll be right here when you can provide me some solid evidence that engagement time is the main reason players are kept on the ground.
Shrinks the world and makes it way less dangerous/engaging.
Actually, you made the claim before I did so I guess the onus is on you!
Obviously there have not been enough gnomes sacrificed to please the gods and unlock flying. If everyone went out and did their part, we would have flying and a lot fewer gnomes. Plus, happy gods.
We all know Metro wants a game that has no fun in it.
Unnamed Cat Mob #269084 is only dangerous if I AFK. Make him elite, and he’s still only dangerous if I AFK. I have my barding. Know what I did before barding? Hit my speed boost and ran til the mob leashed, maybe tossing myself a heal or using a dmg reduction CD. Not sure what danger you’re talking about. Unless you mean other players, but flight in PvP is a totally different beast.
Know what makes the world small? Head to Nazmir. Most of it is a giant hole. Now head to Drustland. It’s mostly a giant mountain. The only reason I spend so much time in either zone is not because it’s big and dangerous, but because I have to go all the way around both features that cover most of the zone and are usually just in my way. THAT makes the world small. Can’t flesh out the zone? Slap a sinkhole in the middle.
Oooh, and you gotta get reputation with the Honorbound to unlock a a mssion on the mission table to unlock a quest to ride on your mount all the way around that mountain to a spot somewhere in the south-east of the zone to unlock an area to unlock a flight path. That bit is annoying.
TBH there is no legitimate reason to restrict flight in new expacs going forward. With Nothrned it at least made some sense that we had to learn to fly in the cold. Explain to me how our flying mounts suddenly forget how to perform their basic function just because we’re in a new place? If you’re going to insist on this ridiculous practice, then at least give us a lore-based, in-game reason for it. For me, it just completely breaks immersion that, upon entering a new zone on a new continent, it suddenly means I can no longer fly.
As I said, I’d even be OK with this if there were an actual reason for it in the game. As it stands, there is no explanation whatsoever. It’s just, oh hey, we’re in a nw place, but oh, darn, we can’t fly just… because . That feels wrong and totally unnatural to me. shrug Maybe that’s just me, but there’s my 2 cents on the matter.
