have you seen what large overpopulations of one faction do to the other on pvp servers on classic? same thing happened when retail had pvp servers. there’s no solution to this dilemma short of the developers fixing the alliance.
This isn’t classic though, sorry I’m not exactly sure how that’s relevant.
I’m also not sure what fixing the alliance means.
But if you mean alliance gaining more population? This could be done through cross-faction raiding (only PVE content), that way people would not feel penalized by their favorite race being on the “weaker” faction PVE-wise since they can raid with anyone.
And like I said, it would strengthen the lore implications since every big bad we’ve fought has been a combined effort.
its relevant because the game has been encouraging animosity between factions for 15 years. thats not gonna go away just cause we can lfd and lfr together. the alliance is already seen as lazy, non-commital, afraid to pvp, refusing to warmode cause they’re cowards, poor performers, bad at raiding, bad at pvp, etc. even those wise enough to overlook the former faction divide, would be hard pressed to not join the crowd of horde complaining about how the alliance playerbase is useless.
He was the defacto head due to the fact that the alliance of lordaeron was pretty much dead; Alterac was wrecked by thrall, Stromgarde was a ruin, Stormwind was incommunicado due to the distances and sheer volume of undead, dalaran was a ruin, Gilneas was cowering behind a wall and Kul tiras was busy doing stupid things in kalimdor. Thus Garithos was effectively the Commander in chief of the Alliance owing to how utterly wrecked it was.
To say otherwise is willful ignorance or outright deception, the latter of which delusionists frequently puts out when it comes to High Elves.
That just seems like overly negative speculation to me. I’m sorry you feel that so many people take their faction so seriously.
I play both horde and alliance (my night elf hunter even outgears my mage) and I’ve had the same experience on both factions.
I don’t think opening doors to cross-faction PVE (only PVE, nothing else) would drive people to behave like this unless they’re very childish. And generally immature people do not get far in any PVE content at all whether they’re horde or alliance.
I guess I’ve been lucky and I have too much faith in people, who knows.
do you wanna risk whats left of the alliance population on the chance they wont lose access to lfd and lfr also, like pvp servers do to alliance who want to raid? that their game might be diminshed by no longer having a single alliance left to pvp with, does not stop them from harrasing them right off the game, after which they claim the win and now its just a horde only pve server.
Yeah, exactly. The fact I dislike the Alliance is sort of relevant to my point about the idea that Horde players would refuse to accept Alliance into groups for some reason.
If not then probably about the time he signed off on Quel’thalas joining the Horde in BC.
