do u want it yes no votes
The 2nd most requested race on the Alliance is Sethrak.
But like i mentioned to you before, popularity, trumps uniqueness every time.
Don’t really have to since a request is a request and contradicts everything that has been actively done and shown about High Elves, “not being possible”.
So i’m gonna keep asking.
i dont no if it good
Goblins are great.
I voted with gusto and vigor so my vote should count more.
Except that maybe if the horde had turned on sylvanas the moment she said burn it, they wouldn’t be getting dragged into a war? And as I pointed out, read a good war. See how many were enjoying themselves.
Failed to burn/drown org, or ultimately chose not to?
I don’t think so.
I am sure there are people that disagree with other races. It’s just that larger crowds of pro-people will generate a larger crowd of anti-people and this applies to anything really.
The difference to this topic being that Ion essentially started a wave of followers with his comments during a Q&A a few years ago, and this happens when anyone in power says something.
Like I’m sure that despite my living in a very liberal pro-LGBT town, there are still many loud homophobes lurking about.
no more alans ! go to jal !
Ehhh… I can see the appeal to short races as a change of pace; I’ve played plenty of tauren, orcs, nightborne, trolls and yes blood elves, so hopping on a gobbo or a vulpera is a nice change of pace.
Considering the Horde PC kills off the invasion party that attempted it I’m pretty sure it wasn’t due to a change of heart.
Online polls have the problem of being self-selecting. Scientific polls select people to try and be as representative of the population as a whole as possible, online polls let people choose to take it. This works well if say you’re polling your followers to get an idea of what to do next if you’re a streamer or something, not so much to determine how the player base of a game feels about something.
The problem is that you run into gaps in motivation, say here, the people who push for high elves are motivated to vote in the poll because they want something and are motivated to show that want. Right now the people opposed don’t have a major motivation, so other than people who don’t want it to be overwhelmed, unless they have another interest (like Sethrak or something) they don’t really have anything motivating them to participate in the poll. So you end up with results that just show that sites where people who push for high elves congregate found out about the poll and announced it so you can get a count of that. But that doesn’t work to determine how much of the playerbase as a whole wants them.
The other problem is brigading, where really motivated people figure out work-arounds so they can vote multiple times. It’s not really harmful here, but it can be devastating if you’re relying on an open online poll for example to show you your standing in a political contest or marketing decision.
Because blizz say they dont wanna /thread
Which are fundamentally incorrect, and the hypocrisy of that gives more merit to pro-high elves, whether they want to admit it or not.
Blood Elves being High Elves does not remove the Alliance High Elf presence, lore and nuance ignoring does not make for a “solid foundation” to the anti argument, neither does call to authority when the authority contradicts himself in his own games lore and story.
And tell blizzard what? That someone dared have the same name as them?
I disagree,
But when people are ranting about how "antis"s are sociopaths or other strong statements, people definitely come around to bash them for that reason alone. I don’t think that’s most of the time.
However, when if I were to make a Venn diagram of all the things that people didn’t like about Allied races, Nightborn being similar to Night Elves and crossing the faction lines, Light Forged Dreanai and High Mountain Tureen being too similar to their parent races, Alliance getting just another flavor of human…Alliance high elves are dead center.
Not only do I think there are just as many people opposed to it, if just unmotivated, I think a lot of people who didn’t really care about the whole thing might discover that they do.
alans is BAD HORDE gooder
That comparison seems like it was being made just to be nasty on your part.
Your opinion does not equal fact.
Your anti-high Elf thread is stuck at 190 likes with 2 threads.
The Pro-High Elf mega-threads and spam threads regularly cap 300+ likes, as much as you want to pretend it’s account switching, it’s ludicrous to believe that isn’t a larger support than you want to let on.
They’re aight, I would have just settled fine with them and Dwarves as the sole “short races” of their factions, because Dwarves practically do the same thing as Gnomes and it basically comes down to just how they look that differs them.
Okay, neither does yours. I also used “I think” to indicate I was sharing an opinion and not a fact.
That’s a lot, after all that’s not where the argument happens and we don’t bump it much.
Why would we, we aren’t as motivated. We have what we want.
I do? You’re putting words in my mouth again.
