Fair point
Most fantasy is edgy stuff, list me some quality popular fantasy games that have this stereotypical make-up you present.
Exactly, someone’s personal RP feelings over high elves has nothing to do with them being playable, I wish this would just stop.
And over thissaway is DnD online.
Lol WoW is dnd online don’t try to fool yourself.
Yeah I got kind of bored of Aragorn constantly dreaming about Arwen just to shove her into the movie more.
Eowyn is better, and should have been appreciated more.
Nope, that’s a whole different other game.
And what they did to poor Faramir
This is honestly the biggest issue if nightborn had been made dayborn or something when hot topic elves were made then it would be fine horde get light elves and alliance get dark elves but they weren’t which kind of makes people who aren’t inherently biased go uh wtf.
I often wonder if they “softened” the night elf image in wow because it crossed over a little too much into their orc/troll tribal concepts idk. Would of liked them to be more heavy forest savage elves honestly, but opinions will vary of course. https://i.imgur.com/pLhB863.jpg
It’s really not dude. It may not have the title of dnd online but make no mistake that’s where pretty much 90% of this game comes from class and ability and even story wise.
You keep using this to describe everyone who doesn’t agree with your specific wants… which is kinda ironic.
I’m glad they got the Eowyn mooning over Aragorn done with it gave her a lot more time to be a badass although they definitely could have extended some of her scenes more.
Anduin thinks Tyrande is a vengeance driven nut job for not wanting to sign a treaty with the people who helped slaughter her people and burn innocents alive.
And Yrel is painted as the villain when rightfully they should have faced consequences previously.
If I recall it was willing. This is also an example of doing what you need to do to get by. Something Alliance high elves didn’t need to do. Granted the Naaru don’t seem to have too many issues with subjection of others themselves. It’s kind of been defining their recent appearances.
You also feed off of living things for energy (or maybe you’re an android).
That was a few individuals. The whole nation isn’t responsible for that. Though you are expressing the same concerning reasoning here that lead to the war crimes of the Silver Covenant.
They were a danger during a difficult time. I don’t believe it was an option then, an example of making a difficult choice. It’s like shooting zombies.
It’s not a story about evil, it’s about making difficult decisions in the face of adversity.
At best the Alliance high elf story is just about being judgmental.
In what way is it? What setting does it resemble? Or is this just some broad based nonsense coming out of the fact that you can just run whatever story you want to using the rules?
And really the whole thing started out of an attempt to make a warhammer game, and not even much of that shows in any of the games.
Okay let’s break this down.
We have two kids who mom gives deserts each night.
Kid A for years has gotten chocolate cake which is awesome.
Kid B for years has gotten Vanilla Ice Cream which is also awesome.
Now a few years down the road mom decides to mix it up a bit
Kid A can now have Chocolate Cake and Fudge Chocolate Cake
Kid B can now have Vanilla Ice Cream and Chocolate Cake.
If you were Kid A wouldn’t you be a bit miffed?
That’s pretty much the current situation so yes non biased.
I think that was part of the issue, they weren’t going to be put on the Horde so they needed to be changed to fit the Alliance’s image better, basically making them noble forest-protecting elves rather than the more savage interpretation they had in WC3 did the trick and oddly just shaped them into being purple High Elves.
It’s honestly probably why Blizzard has not considered adding the Broken and instead gave us even purer and holier Draenei, because they changed the original Draenei to be blue Light-worshiping beautiful exiles to better suit the themes of the Alliance.
Yes, I want to see more of them. Stuff that was actually in the books. Stick the actual warrior woman on a poster and not Arwen with a scratch on her face because she rode past a tree while running from the wraiths.
They definitely overemphasized Arwen no doubt since it wasn’t even her that fought the wraiths.
