Just give the alliance high elves already

The discord. It doesn’t really matter it just left a bad taste in my mouth and goes to show neither side has claim to not being toxic on this subject. Especially since I’m already a supporter of HEs on the forums and there, but there does seem to be a lot of people who just don’t like or respect people who like Blood Elves.

I’m sorry you had to experience that. I didn’t even notice.

People need to remember this is just a videogame. :disappointed:

I think that you had to experience that blows. Talk about defeating your own argument there, really.

I want HEs. I also would love an innner-species conflict of HEs and BEs over who has the greater right to the elven territories. It’d be a GREAT story and honestly worth its own expac in scope. Besides, the large amount of American Civil War buffs I hear about in the US would maybe love the references that you could make there. It practically writes itself!

No, we need to avoid any references to the ‘American Civil War’. That wound has never truly healed, it would cause nothing but trouble.

In a game with a culturally and nationally diverse playerbase avoiding real world conflict references is a must.

Shadowlands customization literally makes high elves a thing, by giving blood elves the option for blue eyes

I want the turtle people and the fish people. I still wouldnt do the rep grinds for them but I’d fondly imagine the possibility.

You’re always welcome on the anti discord, babes.

1.) It’s only an issue because players like you have been bringing it up for the past twelve years .
2.) Give Horde playable Worgen and I’ll be fine with alliance having a straight up copy of a Horde race.
3.)Worgen, Dwarves, Dranie, and Elves aren’t cool enough for you?

Weird :face_with_raised_eyebrow: I personally would’ve thought that peeps who would want High Elves would like Belves as well. I guess they might not like blood elves because they feel that the “High Elves” Should’ve been introduced all those years ago in TBC. Eh, maybe I’m just reading to much into things.

That doesn’t count.

Sad thing is, I can’t tell if you’re joking

Not anymore. They joined the Horde. And have now been a long & significant part of Horde History.

You barely roasted squat. Like I’ve stated in an earlier comment I will agree there’s mild inconsistencies; but for the most part the largest sum is true - And does line up with Chronicles, quests and other sources of lore. As stated before:

" They were named Blood Elves for political stance and nothing more. Biologically, magically and genetically they are identical. By lore standards even in Burning Crusade there could had been Blue Eyed Elves waltzing Silvermoon who carried the name ‘Blood Elf’. "

— As for the dead Naaru, it’s heart was refurbished into a beating breathing vessel of light which re-ignited the Sunwell; and that’s what over-time changed the state of the mildly-effected Elves within their kingdom – Just as Velen said it would.

I’ll agree the ‘lore’ on Void Elves is utter complete trash. Honestly in my personal opinion they should had given them perhaps a Worgen deal where they look like High Elves then upon entering combat go to their Void-Elf state, along with a toggle to switch between the two when out of it.

— That being stated however, I can see flaws in my own opinion with this where it conflicts to the faction identity of the race / the story continuation of them (As happened with Pandaren), as well given the factor that it may deem one with a visual advantage providing a bonus toggle for visuals and not ‘the originals’; along with other conflicting matters I included in the other comment far above & beyond.

Then what color elves are we supposed to trust now?!?

As of Shadowlands alpha, Blizzard has taken literally every possible action to make it clear that the Alliance will never be getting High Elves.

Hopefully we can just quit with these threads.

We cannot stop, man.

Judge them on their transmog like I do. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Not the answer I’m looking for, kid.

If you’re concerned about the different skin colour shades for Blood Elves, or lighter hair colour shades for Nightelves; whether it be out of concern for lore or keeping true to the roots of the game story take a dive into here: The Customisation Justifications to Lore
