I don’t know, whales, pigs, dolphins, gorillas, all considered smart but when’s the last time you saw any of those things toting a rifle or writing something down? you know, outside of fairy tales. Point being; if they’re so smart, why aren’t they the dominant species? I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ve met some people who I wonder how they don’t choke to death sitting in their chair, bu even they’re smarter than those animals listed.

Ok, but imagine one of those Star Trek episodes where they try to observe the primitive culture but they end up revealing themselves over and over through incompetence and desire to bang aliens.

I think it’s kinda egotistical to assume that aliens would be interested in us. If they can do light speed space travel we probably don’t have any resources they would be interested in.
Were not out of covid, far from it. Were going to be dealing with it for a few years because many countries cannot get the vaccine on demand.

Not necessarily true. Heavy metals are pretty universally rare, along with organic compounds.they would likely strip-mine us for gold and lithium etc
