Just admit Pathfinder was a failed social experiment

for every one player that likes it theres about 20 that don’t given the large amounts of threads on this subject

Pathfinder still isn’t a social experiment.

And pathfinder is fine.

Literally the only thing wrong with pathfinder, is the 10 month delay between part 1 and part 2, which lead to bitterness.

bitterness is an understatement how bout resentment annoyance and just downright aggravation toward Blizzard over their decisions as of late with all the feedback we gave and it was all disregarded simply on the basis that it didn’t fit into their development teams vision of how we should be playing and having fun

Well, I’m sorry your incapable of finding enjoyment in the game if flying is not involved.

However, it -is- blizzards game. If they want to take it a specific direction, that’s their choice.

We can provide feedback, but they aren’t obligated to act upon it.

Flying is a convenience more than anything, not a necessity

if I wanted WoW to be a job id go apply at Blizzard but since im a paying customer id much rather have fun instead its a hobby not a profession and as such they need to remember it might be their game but without players it would be nothing

Blizzard made the game but it was the players that made it endure never forget that

It was a necessity to the people that have quit the game because of it.

I’m not forgetting players make the game.

And not having flying isn’t akin to turning wow into a Job.

Your making hyperbolic claims at this point.

If you fully quit a game, because you can’t fly, then you have more issues with the game than just flying.

That, or your knee jerk reacting to one thing, and blowing things outta proportion and don’t want to admit it.

Without flying, I wouldn’t be able to net-squish people from stealth.

Or people just like it that much. Why can’t you accept that fact? You don’t seem unintelligent so why is it such a foreign concept to you that people enjoy flying enough to quit the game?

Rep grind and story line requirements don’t make sense at all.

I could give a pass on area exploration, but that’s it.

Because the concept to me, of someone literally deciding to quit a game they otherwise like, simply because they cannot fly is foreign to me, and comes across as petty, and almost childish.

Flying is definitely far more convenient, I did go out of my way to complete pathfinder after all, however if you somehow literally cannot find any enjoyment in the game if you don’t have flying, then you have bigger issues than flying with the game.

You’re just wrong. You’re devaluing someone’s opinion just because it doesn’t line up with yours.

Well for people who change accounts have to start from begging it’s real struggle , including my self.

For these hardcore games ( lifeless people) however it’s nice adding to game cause they have something that casuals don’t have .

Problem with pathfinder is more in old content . While new content when it comes out you will get playing casual 1-2 hours a day , but older content is struggle. You have to leave everything on side to go and do old content. I hope they will approach this , but, seeing how blizzard approaches to their games I doubt it will happen.

I disagree.

But I have a feeling we won’t see eye to eye on this regardless.

Flying isn’t that big of a deal.

And if flying -is- that big of a deal for you, then I don’t know what your expecting at this point. Blizzards made it’s stance quite clear on this.

If you don’t like it, and cannot find any enjoyment in WoW, without flight, then maybe WoW isn’t for you.

I have flying and it’s made the game infinitely better. Flying doesn’t do anything for dungeons, raids, or instanced pvp. It just baffles me as to why they lock flying away like it’s some sort of disease. It’s fun. Plain and simple it makes the world fun.

Agree to disagree and move on.

All I came here to say is that:

  1. Pathfinder is not a “Failed” social experiment. As it’s not a social experiment to begin with. It’s their approach to flying in the game, and has been for something close to 6 years now.

  2. That if your literally quitting the game -just- over flying, then there was more things you had issues with than just flying, but want to simply project all of that on pathfinder.

The Pathfinder System is fine, the only major issue this time around was they waited a long time to put out 8.2 which had part 2 in it.

Next expansion, we will literally have had pathfinder for longer than we had basic flying, blizzard doesn’t seem to be in any rush to change their stance on this.

You could argue the same thing with the whole faction war thing in regards to this expansion.

Like, Blizzard made BfA just so they could try to say “See? Faction war isn’t dead.” (spoiler alert: It’s dead, Jim, and the amount of players dropping sub because Blizzard is keeping up this long dead faction war pretty much proves it.)

I agree that there isn’t anything wrong with pathfinder itself. Flying should unlock for the initial zones as soon as you complete it. If that happened I’ll bet my account that the majority (not all of course) of complaints stop. That would make me happy.

yes cos those that love war mode would gripe but theres a fix for it too just make no flying as long as war mode is active

Exactly. There’s also an item that can just blast people out of the sky.

Warmode was hurting so bad that Blizzard gave out 400 ilvl HEROIC RAID GEAR to get people to participate and that was before flying. Warmode is a joke.
