Hey fellow forum dwellers I am currently playing jungle at 2400mmr with very minimal experience in the comp. We are heavily struggling against MLX, I know this comp is hard for jungle but our win rate is so low at this mmr that I really think I we are doing something wrong.
We have tried a run and gun approach, run in and coordinate a stun with entangling roots, if there is an imp, into a trap and going mage. Every time we get a defensive cd out of them, or if infernal/dark soul is used, we run and hide till cds are over and we can get another go.
Just seems that every game we get caught with our pants down and die to a bolt, have people had better success going lock over mage by chance? It is there any other tips out there from more experienced junglers out there?

Watch Nlite’s games and see what they did. Also yeah lock is much easier to kill in deep dampening
Yea i have watched them a lot, i think lock may be a better target. We play with a disc and we even have the disc not push out for fears off of traps until after dark soul has been used. Maybe we just need to be better about our timing on running.
And even the best teams in NA can’t find an answer for MLX (seeing as it won all 4 cups) so I wouldn’t get too hung up over it. Just keep trying new builds/strats and blame Blizzard’s incompetence

This I don’t want to do, at 2.4 I feel we can still outplay. I really just want to blame my inexperience with the comp and L2play haha.

Do you stream? I think that’s a really good way to look at wins/losses and figure out what worked/didn’t.
I do stream most my sessions at www.twitch.tv/covlol
Play marks, run 8 gushing wounds, get 8 gushing wounds on the priest and 8 gushing wounds on the feral, have you an the priest dot the lock an feral only go out when he has a stun an apply wounds/bleeds. win in damp.
This was obviously a joke, but marks is valid inside arena when melee arent involved lol.
great attitude, luv it!
that’s all I have to add sadly

I just watched you kill poor gwen lol. If she had some self healing you were dead.

I’ve had my tilted and super toxic moments from q’n into destro’s but ultimately I’m not playing at a high enough rating to say I’m not doing anything wrong.

Yea, the warbanners were perfect in those games.

I’ve had a much easier time with MLX compared to jungle. We just dps down the lock while cycling ccs on mage. A few greater pyros go through but bolts are almost all stopped. I’m thinking you and the feral went full gushing so probably not viable. Run and gun might be your best bet.
That healer wasn’t our main healer that we played to 2400. And I was baffled at how tanky covlol and the feral were…switched some talents for more cleave against another jungle team two days ago and it wrecked. So I think I’ve got an answer.
You actually q’d into us with two different teams, the MW TSG for 2 games, and then a different DK paired with a Rsham. All the games however man, you’re warbanners were completely random (even when I had trap on CD) you’re sham also threw grounding every time I walked up to him.
Also you ran Lingering Psychic Shell, scummy tank trinket
, and Void-Twisted Titanshard of all things. Very confusing on that trinket choice.
Was decent series however, nice to play some games into something that didn’t have a Destro or RMX haha.

I’ve encountered jungle very few times so zero practice against it. Since I don’t know how to deal with you guys and the damage is higher than dark soul, I play psychic shell.
Maybe with more practice I’ll stop using it.
The other trinket is due to how much vers amps I have. I’m at 64% vers outside arena. So every point is a big boost. And it will get bigger as I gain more corruption resistance.
My dk wants me to go drestagath or bike though. I just like the tankiness since war has no self heal
Paging Dr Dilly. Keep the jungle dream alive Cov.

Go with the Dilly strat and just play for super deep dampening and then go all in on the lock.
In all seriousness though think it’s a hard matchup. Aside from having good defensive positioning, not overlapping CDs, making sure every combust is RoS’d, etc. I’m not sure what I’m thinking I’d do. I legit think playing super defensive and trying to just hold most goes until deeper dampening might be the best bet. Like as obvious as it sounds I also think every single go you have prior to 30-40% into dampening I’d be asking myself “since this go doesn’t really meet my win condition (deep damp) do things look clean enough to warrant this play?”. Probably not a great perspective though since MLX is also an amazing dampening comp and it’s also just really boring to AFK for 10 mins to wait for dampening to stack to any substantial level.
