It was supposed to end at 85, what character did you check? I think you can turn it on again at the inn?

It was removed as scheduled according a Blizzardian. The blog announcement itself is written somewhat in a RP-like way, with it reading that it would be turned off around the Firelands patch.
It’s true there is some confusion with players not having a specific end date and a point of improvement.
