The people still dominating the logs and economy are gold buyers. Literally nobody got hurt except the players. This has been the problem the entire time and Blizzard refuses to ban gold buyers.

But you are pro GDKP…so like…how can I take anything you say seriously? How do I know you don’t have RMT directly invested into your GDKPs and that’s why you want them unbanned…how do I know your income and IRL living isn’t directly associated with running GDKPs?
Like I have no idea if what you’re telling me is disingenuous or not homie lol. You trying to paint this picture of GDKPs being this “close group of great WoW friends all just trying to be social in this big wide world of warcaft” really isn’t selling me. The ONE time I did a GDKP in Classic ERA it was literally just raid leader yelling Macros to everyone for boss fights and then yelling macros for the Auctioned items…legit zero discord, zero interaction, zero social aspect, just gold exchanging hands and then people dip out.

Im honestly tired of gold buyers owning Classic WoW entirely with their BOT community. One of the main reasons I went from being against GDKP for being pro GDKP was entirely this reason and its also backed up by 4 years of post history
The entire game is owned by botting and RMT cartels outside of parsing and pushing HK leaderboards.
Do people really spend $100 on one item? I would guess those people actually farmed the gold in a lot of cases, unless they’re really wealthy or something. I couldn’t even fathom spending that much on items in wow but I guess my livelihood depends on me not being frivolous with my money.
whales in mobile games spend hundreds of thousands of usd, a few hundred is not even close to some of the whales out there.
Yea and WoW literally died when actiBlizz decided 300k whales mean more than 10million subs
Look at what people have spent in Star Citizen.

Sounds like you had a really bad GDKP and that’s unfortunate. Even more so that you didn’t try to find a better group. I don’t do the ones that a mage is leading that clearly doesn’t speak english well or where discord isn’t used. Those are the sketchy ones and probably the ones where people are buying and selling gold or where you’d get scammed.
GDKP communities ARE communities. I honestly hate those trade chat con artists or the people that yell “SO CHEAP!!!”. The majority of GDKPs have the same core. My guild in p1 did loot as a GDKP. Our min bid was 0. If I knew how to post an image on the forums then I would share with you my TSM ledger of my AH sales to show I make gold legit or if they weren’t deleted because we no longer do GDKP and don’t want new recruits to get the wrong idea some of the GDKP ledgers from p1 showing how little items went for. Tell me how and I would be happy to share at least my TSM ledger.
I do not sell gold. I do not buy gold. Blizzard can look at my account if they want to because I have never been banned for anything and I started this account in 2005. I only keep my profile private because I have been sexually harassed numerous times and blizzard won’t do anything about it so I keep a lot of things private now.
If you chose not to take anything someone says seriously because of some head gymnastic conspiracy, you are the one who needs not be taken seriously. If your only experience with GDKPs is one time in a trade chat group, you need to accept your experience is very limited and anecdotal.
Seems to me that you just want to justify being willfully ignorant.
But you willingly play with people who do. How is that any different?

Do I? Have you interviewed everyone I have played with? You are SO CERTAIN that everyone who does GDKP buys gold but I have been on here saying more than once that I wish they would ban the gold buyers and sellers in perma bans. Not temp bans. And I would be happy to GDKP without anyone who buys gold. To my knowledge I do not play with anyone that has bought illegal gold. I know plenty of people who have used the wow token or who have transferred gold from other versions of WoW though.

GDKPs very simply present an opportunity for people to cut corners by way of abusing their fellow players. At the same time, they create a demand for gold, which gold sellers are experts at. Seems very obvious to me that GDKPs are more than just a vehicle for laundering gold.

I’m saying everyone who does GDKP benefits from RMT. Even if you personally didn’t buy gold, odds are you did GDKPs with those who did and thus profited from it.
These forums and Reddit are full of people swearing up and down they were wrongly banned. Most of them are lying. Blues have even called out a few in the Customer Support forum.
The community you prefer to play with is full of liars and cheaters. That’s not a community I care to be associated with.

Do you have proof that they’re lying, did those blue posts provide said evidence for ban? Because we all know the system blizzard uses for bans and such is a dreadful system and they’re notorious for this type of issue.

Then ban them. Perma ban them. If they can tell who buys the gold then they can ban them.
And I don’t think as many are lying as you think. Most people won’t even post on the CS forums because they are told to just keep putting in a ticket so it is a waste of time. I have had two friends who were banned randomly recently, one got it overturned but it took a week of automated replies before he got a live person. The other only ever got automated replies when he requested the chat log in which he was banned for. Never even got to a live person.
The community you choose to listen to is full of lies and cheats. Maybe I should speak a language you understand. BAAAAHH ( that’s the noise a sheep makes)

Again, RMT gold goes through the auction house. Here’s a challenge, what % of players do you believe buy gold? Discard that % of gold from every AH sale you make. You have received RMT gold if you sell on the AH.
But that aside since we already talked into nowhere on another topic about this that.
You believe yourself not to be lying when you make these sweeping statements? The GDKP community is FULL of liars and cheaters? You’re talking from emotion… not from reason. Yes, like every group of people you will ever encounter, there will be people within said group who lie and cheat and steal and worse. Are you planning to play the game solo?

You’re trying to talk reason to people who only care about the benefit to themselves. For example, consider that little Gnome who’s always defending GDKPs. He’s a hardcore raider who’s probably full bis. So he does GDKPs just to rake in the gold so that he can
- Buy tokens (even though he says he never has =c)
- Transfer that gold over to SoD
It’s pure selfishness. The damage to the game means nothing. Destroying the economy means nothing. The game full of bots means nothing. It’s nothing but self-interest. And the hide behind, “But I don’t buy gold!” But enabling and encouraging others to do so by participating in GDKPs.
