We used to do this all the time back when forums were per realm and/or battlegroup, did they change something? I played a game with them, I am not calling them names, just razzing them a bit. Is that really against ToS of a game that anyone can play and query names on any server or really even online through this website? I must be really out of the loop if so.

For real, we used to have like name and shame lists, that were all in good spirit back on the realm I was on during TBC and WOTLK, lists with all the best and worst of each class in PVP, pve, tanks, heals, etc. Like literal lists of who was the best and worst on the realm.
People would also post about ninjas, ninja guilds, people who would help you for no reason other than to be cool.
