My partner and I would like to have our WoW accounts under the one battle net account however we can not transfer one (or any) of my/her characters as we get the error ‘Destination account needs to be same name as origin account’ (not exact wording). Is there a way around this so we can unlock and enjoy the same things together?

Basically, you won’t be able to as it would technically be account sharing (on a battle.net level).

That would fall under account sharing and that is not allowed. Only one person is allowed per battle.net account with the exception of a minor child which is allowed to use their parents/ guardians account.
