2 problems -

How many people do you think turn off jj xp bonus? Even if they don’t like the bonus. Your idea will kill normal group making and you know it.

And being real… if people didn’t actually use RDF “enough” we’d have people complaining that their rdf wait is too long. 30 min for dps will be a huge travesty and you’d be on here telling Blizzard to “fix it”.

Lastly - my personal reason for opposing rdf is the constant whining about it and bumping old posts. It makes you all look terrible.

RDF will kill normal group making? So you’re worried about losing the ability to manually group with players you don’t want to group with anyway.

My problem with anti-rdf posts is that there isn’t any logic or consistency in any of it. None whatsoever. You hate the prospect of grouping with strangers. Which, of course, you don’t have to do even with RDF in the game. So what’s your real problem with RDF?

It’s pretty obviously just a gatekeeping tool some players don’t want to lose. It has nothing to do with social interactions or ‘the spirit of classic’. You just want to control and dictate exactly who you group with. Which, again, you can still do even with RDF in the game. The problem now is that other players have another option. So they don’t have to come crawling to you.

And all those ‘yous’ are directed at the elitist, gatekeeping anti-rdf posters who only care about their experience, and screw everyone else.

bro, i have 4 alts that havnt been able to gain a single drop of xp since jj was put in. Not 1 dungeon run has popped up in their brackets in a week when im on(which is pretty obscene amounts of hours through peak hours). AV wont even pop in the 41–60 brackets and everyone knows theres literally no dungeons popping in those brackets either, so basically my characters in that level range are completely screwed out of even being able to play the game other than repeating the same crappy quest hubs for the 4 millionth time. And since a couple of those alts are full healer spec and under 40, questing isnt even an option. So im being denied access to dungeons and pvp. thats more than 50% of the game for my alts.

ahem and i say this sarcastically as humanly possible with as much venom dripping from the words. oh so sorry you’re not able to play the game the way you want to. it must be difficult being not have someone wipe you little butt when make a poopy. i mean how dare blizzard not cater to your all your whims. how dare they. everyone baby needs his bottle.

stop being entitled and go out and grind. yeah its boring, but its the fastest option available to you. boohoo you can’t dungeon grind. or run AV. get over your self. JJ is available. you just don’t like how its available. and further more you’re just upset JJ can’t be used in the combination the way you want it to be.

also before you think of responding I WANT THE RDF tool. its just not locking you from half the content in the game.

100% of the content were asking for rdf for has come and gone. noone wants to play vanilla content anymore and the fact that JJ was put in due to declining player base proves it.

See, that’s the issue with this conversation. We have so many dishonest people who want to use the old “I just want rEaL wRaTh!!” but the moment you concede that parity with the original game would be fine, the goalposts have to be moved yet again.

Also, I’d like to see evidence of this “declining playerbase” you speak of. Because we’re essentially at the very peak of Classic’s population size at this exact moment. Vanilla Classic and TBC Classic never had populations as high as we have right now.

Of course this is my opinion but it absolutely is a negative in the game. On paper it is incredible, and opens the raid to many people, not to mention it is easy to get into a raid. The thing about this though, is that RDF incentivizes laziness because who cares if you do a good job or just spam 1 ability and not care about mechanics. RDF, especially LFR has to be nerfed so much due to this that the level of difficulty between LFR and an actual normal difficulty raid is such a large jump that…

• These same people will prevent completion of the normal difficulty raid requiring frequent replacements slowing it down, or especially in hard mode raids.
• It has prevented players from even wanting to try a normal dungeon raid because the difficulty jump seems intimidating and may even cause people to feel inadequate.
• The social experience is ruined as no communication is required anymore, and bullying has run rampant in the RDF, especially in dungeons when I used to play retail. Nobody wants to help others succeed, they just kick them out. This just broke my heart every time, even when I did my best to help teach them, the rest of the group just says “screw this person” and kicks them from the group.

We already have a LFG system, we don’t need a RDF. If there isn’t a group available, people can try to take initiative to make a group and/or raids just as I have done multiple times. People work together in these, and it’s beautiful to see. RDF was a cancer to the group experience, and people can have their opinion on it, but Classic won’t truly be classic if it has RDF. Cataclysm destroyed Azeroth, RDF destroyed dungeons and raids.

your arguments are already invalid. people behave poorly in the current system we have now. the put in minimal to no effort as is. i don’t want to hear how its negative. it is not. the arguments you present would be far better and more thoroughly appreciated if that nonsense didn’t happen already. but since it does its invalid. further more you don’t get to claim but my classic experience. because you are now robbing people of an experience that was in the game for this expansion. further more LFR deserves to be in cata when DS drops much like RDF deserves to be in wrath.

No the other option is blizzard just uses the actual legitimate wrath feature called RDF which lets people more readily mix dungeons in while leveling.

It was a system that the actual Wrath devs put in place way back in 2009 during Wrath. And that 2022 Blizz couldn’t be bothered to get to work right in Classic Wrath.
