JJ just isnt enough. We need RDF

If this is earnestly what you believe, then maybe you should give in and go play Retail instead of constantly whining about Classic and comparing it to the version of the game you clearly want to be playing more.

Should just have rdf in like the original huh?

not having RDF is a negative to the wrath plus experience but by no means is it limiting access to half the content. that is truly the most hyperbolic thing i’ve seen in the last 2 weeks.

Bare in mind. i’m pro RDF. it is also a shame that wrath plus team thinks its a negative to have in the game. they would also be wrong.

I post this here from 2013.

It’s interesting to see people refer to this as Classic Plus, since Blizz has actually removed an authentic system that was in Wrath. If anything it’s Minus. But I prefer Classic Clueless.

just pointing out the hypocrisy of this fat loser who got canned in two seconds flat after they found out what a horrible dbag he was.

Leave RDF out of Classic, stop asking for it. If you want a raid to be done then earn it the normal way.

Of course this is my opinion but it absolutely is a negative in the game. On paper it is incredible, and opens the raid to many people, not to mention it is easy to get into a raid. The thing about this though, is that RDF incentivizes laziness because who cares if you do a good job or just spam 1 ability and not care about mechanics. RDF, especially LFR has to be nerfed so much due to this that the level of difficulty between LFR and an actual normal difficulty raid is such a large jump that…

  • These same people will prevent completion of the normal difficulty raid requiring frequent replacements slowing it down, or especially in hard mode raids.

  • It has prevented players from even wanting to try a normal dungeon raid because the difficulty jump seems intimidating and may even cause people to feel inadequate.

  • The social experience is ruined as no communication is required anymore, and bullying has run rampant in the RDF, especially in dungeons when I used to play retail. Nobody wants to help others succeed, they just kick them out. This just broke my heart every time, even when I did my best to help teach them, the rest of the group just says “screw this person” and kicks them from the group.

We already have a LFG system, we don’t need a RDF. If there isn’t a group available, people can try to take initiative to make a group and/or raids just as I have done multiple times. People work together in these, and it’s beautiful to see. RDF was a cancer to the group experience, and people can have their opinion on it, but Classic won’t truly be classic if it has RDF. Cataclysm destroyed Azeroth, RDF destroyed dungeons and raids.

This is a very valid point, and I have arguments on both sides. In favor of the true classic experience, leveling the normal way is incredible. It is called the World of Warcraft and speeding through it removes all aspect of a true adventure, and can keep people from seeing some of the most beautiful quests in the game. Memories are made by putting in the effort of the player, and easy character I have, especially my Paladin whom I leveled entirely without exp buffs such as Heirlooms and JJ have an incredible place in my heart. Now, that being said I do have arguments in favor of a permanent JJ.

I would like to point out these arguments only apply in my opinion if a player has a max level character already for the current expansion. My Paladin leveled up using almost every quest in Northrend because without exp buffs, it really is slow. I absolutely enjoyed this process, of course there were a few quests I remembered as, “meh” but the vast majority of them were incredible, and a joy to return too. Once I got my first level 80 in WotLK classic however, the others felt more of a chore. I already did all these quests, and I saw the beauty of it. Leveling up new alts from level 1 is boring since I know these quests by heart since I have done all it 5 times already. I work a full time job and I go to school. The time I have available I want to use it enjoying the full extend of the WoW end game, and leveling now feels like a waste of time. I already earned that 80, and JJ makes leveling quite a bit more tolerable. The beautiful thing about it is that JJ can be turned off if the player wants, and sure, maybe in a year down the line I may want to experience every quest in its entirety and if JJ was a permanent buff (for alts especially), I can remove it. I just wish Heirlooms never were in Classic. Getting that new gear and equipping it just felt incredible, but now it’s just either you use it and feel bored, or you don’t and you’re falling behind in dps compared to others.

Overall, I am in favor of a permanent JJ buff, so long as the player already has a max level character. The first character needs to EARN that max level, all others are leveled with ease.

what the hell do raids have to do with rdf? i dont think you know what youre even talking about. you literally just wrote like 6 paragraphs that have absolutely nothing to do with RDF at all

bro, i have 4 alts that havnt been able to gain a single drop of xp since jj was put in. Not 1 dungeon run has popped up in their brackets in a week when im on(which is pretty obscene amounts of hours through peak hours). AV wont even pop in the 41–60 brackets and everyone knows theres literally no dungeons popping in those brackets either, so basically my characters in that level range are completely screwed out of even being able to play the game other than repeating the same crappy quest hubs for the 4 millionth time. And since a couple of those alts are full healer spec and under 40, questing isnt even an option. So im being denied access to dungeons and pvp. thats more than 50% of the game for my alts.

That would be fine by me. Release it with ICC after 75% of the content has come and gone just like it was originally. Now can we stop spamming the forums with these stupid threads? :stuck_out_tongue:

PvP would remain dead pre-80 with RDF, it’s irrelevant to that issue.

If theres more people leveling, theres more pool of people to join pvp. completely relevant to the issue

100% of the content were asking for rdf for has come and gone. noone wants to play vanilla content anymore and the fact that JJ was put in due to declining player base proves it.

I did about 20 dungeons over the weekend on my shaman as dps, leveling 70+.

I never waited more than 5 minutes for a dungeon. About 15 of those dungeons I got invited passively and the others I messaged 1 group and got accepted.

At least 70+ I don’t see a need for rdf.

You kind of outed yourself here. You just admitted that only 15 people are interested in running 10-70 dungeons. Why would blizz develop an entire feature to improve the experience of 15 people? During peak hours?

When theres a million other things that need fixing…

so because of your own personal experience on your own personal faction on your own personal server with the most up to date content being good at the specific time you queued, every single other player in the entire game across countless servers and factions should not have access to a tool to help connect them to more playerbase? sounds legit bro.

This arguement is pretty bad. It can be reversed to be anti rdf also.
