Jinyu are BACK Baby!

No I am NOT!

There is a waterfall, and a swimming hole above the Hunter Building. I often see my fellow Horde bathing there, fresh, flowing water, unlike a smelly canal.

Gnomes tinkering with engine oil? Undead don’t always smell, they have stopped rotting, or by now they’d just be skeletons. And have you smelt horse poo???

I’ve never been there, but I read that it’s stinky! And I think the Internet also said it was… so…

You win. Bah.

They kind of look more like humanoid Murlocs than the Jinyu to me. The faces don’t have the koi fish look like Jinyu did.

They still look cool though.

Definitely not insinuating. Outright stating.

High fantasy doesn’t tend to have humanized animals. That’s a trait for cartoons, teen fiction (sometimes) and bad kitchen sink fantasy, where the author just runs out of ideas. And, yeah also smut and things bordering smut because the author didn’t want an R/Mature rating (like Fred Perry’s Gold Digger)

That’s a pretty short sighted way to think of humanoid races, but hey, you do you. I like games where it’s not just a bunch of humans and humans with pointy ears.

How so? What are you thinking of as ‘high fantasy’ that has animal ‘people?’

High fantasy is a blend of humanoid races. Star Trek and Starwars comes to the immediate mind.

There’s also Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons.

No, see, high fantasy actually is a literary term with a specific meaning. It doesn’t include sci-fi, space opera, or kitchen sink fantasy rpgs that try to market everything ever done in the entire fantasy genre.

… eh I’m ducking out of this conversation, sorry.

While Blizzard has been known to change their minds, they stated at Blizzcon that this tribe is dying out and won’t survive on Azeroth for long. Plus we still haven’t seen a female Jinyu or Ankoan model.

To be fair, Sethrak males and females could look identical. It would be interesting to have an androgynous race.

The day Blizzard adds an androgynous playable race in the game is the day my faith in their race development is restored.

You can’t make them cool Blizz no matter how hard you try.

No one wants fish people. Now the tuskarr are what people want.

Please speak for yourself. I would love an aquatic race with bioluminescent scales and baubles.

Like Blizz is going to do anything useful with them.

Who knows :woman_shrugging:

Speculation is fun until you get too absorbed in your own desires.

They look horrendous imo. I was super excited for them, but instead we got low rez Jinyu re-makes.

I don’t know if this has been said, but if they do become playable there better be a fish-sticks joke!

We are far superior and we even have our own spaceship and they’re doing nothing with us.

So, where does the Elder Scrolls fit into this? Khajiit and Argonians certainly aren’t sexualized races.

Jinyu are one of my most wanted races. Now, the new ones in 8.2 aren’t suppose to have a very high population, I think because of something killing their race off. Of course, they could always combine with the Pandaria Jinyu and repopulate! ^^
