Can the hunter dev adopt us demon hunters? Our current dev hasn’t listened to a lick of feedback concerning our class for all of TWW so far.
Everyone hating AR, lackluster visuals for both hero talents, meta form customization/demonic character options like hooves, claws, felstalker dreadlocks, permanent wings, glyph of base form meta/DH flight via dracthyr “soar” reskin to havoc meta, most importantly of all our completely flaccid defensives!
Darkness needs to be shorter CD or much stronger and either follow DH or be 3x the size, VR should break roots, nether should immune roots/slows, bladedance should have heal debuff and damage reduction choice nodes combined.
When are we going to get some love?
It’s been an expansion of 1-2 line patch notes vs other classes pages.
We have 3 gladiators on US servers
We have been near the bottom of the raid/boss damage list for the majority of the expansion and just recently got buffed to mediocre.
I don’t need or want us to be THE meta class (like ele has been all TWW) but the complete abandonment feels bad
Rant over
It is seriously starting to feel that way.
My hope is that sometime around Legion: Remix they’ll be forced to remember our existence and throw us a bone.
Feels bad
Maybe if they gave more classes some love they’d become more popular!
I hate to get too tin-foil hat about it, but maybe there’s some internal discussion and encouragement to funnel players to fewer classes to reduce workload/effort on their end?
They neglected and ignored Hunters for the ENTIRE alpha and beta. The Hero Powers we recieved we unacceptably bad.
Hunter has been pretty neglected since SL to be honest.
Then we FINALLY get some needed attention, they make some medicore changes tbh the scouting eagle is super bland and the changes to Pack Leader are still passive and lacking, and suddenly its OMG praise Hunter Devs.
Personally, I think Demon Hunters should have demon pets. It would make sense. And more ranged attacks, but this is my opinion. I’m sure others will be against it.
So they can make a big announcement like, “We have a new fantasy for havoc demon hunters where they will no longer use glaives,” only to then walk it back a month later and say, “Never mind, you can still use glaives”?
I think you guys are missing the gist of what I’m saying.
They made a change, the hunter community was overwhelmingly unhappy with the change, they Actually Listened to the feedback and QUICKLY reverted the change.
We (and others) don’t get stuff like that.
We get ignored for 6 months and get an button icon change and a few auto-attack buffs
No
We kill demons with extreme prejudice, not train them as pets
You are describing Warlocks
I’m one of the handful of people that don’t mind momentum or movement centered playstyles on the movement focused class.
That being said I think there should be a slightly weaker, but still comparable alternative for bosses that are especially hard. There are only a few where this is an issue outside of mythic difficulty though.
I know, I’m mostly just being snarky. But as a long time player the whole thing was very frustrating to see play out. They have tried this with MM pets before and had the same kind of pushback. So it’s great that they changed their plans. But frustrating that they made them in the first place.
I think the employment there has shifted further and further from exceptionally talented/extremely passionate devs that play the game they design at more than a causal level, and has drifted into hiring based on, well, “factors” outside of the realm of those relevant to developing games and being outstanding at their jobs. Not to get political, I identify as neither party, just my opinion/observations
