Unlike Jaina Thrall never acted on it. I can’t remember a single time after the fall of Durnholde where he and his army ever harmed the alliance.
To be fair, Tides of War (specifically, and quite ironically, Christie Golden’s Aethas Sunreaver) did grant that Jaina’s judgment might have been impaired by the mana bomb’s residue. That’s kind of a mitigating factor.
In general Golden seemed to dislike Dark Jaina. Three different novels she wrote ended with the character’s realignment to a healthier state of mind, only for the game to reverse those reversals time and again for easy faction conflict, provoking further book-only personality adjustments all the way up to BfA, which finally chilled her out.
Orgrimmar is standing right there. She didn’t kill any kid, not in Orgrimmar at least.
Theres a reason attempted murder is still a crime
I dont think it qualifies as attempted murder since she never finish the attempt, if she did went trough it and thrall stopped the waves before they hit orgrimmar instead of solving with reason, then there would be an attempt.
She tried it twice and was only stopped by Thrall. Attempted genocide is still a crime and if she wasn’t alliance she would be dead.
She did though, she forced the wave forward and Thrall stopped her. He didn’t talk her down, he used his shamanistic powers to hold the wave off
She was about to murder Thrall so he’d stop resisting before Kalec showed up
Ok, then thats an attempt, and thats a crime.
Given the trauma and ‘drugged’ state and the fact she didn’t follow through (and the book made it clear she could have) there is no court that would convict her of that. She would undoubtably fall under some form of non compos mentis during the incident ruling and likely be given mandatory counseling.
Sylvanas attempted genocide in Gilneas and was let off the hook for years. And then she successfully committed genocide and she is still not dead.
Even with Garrosh, he tried genocide several times, was captured and put on trial and was NOT going to be killed for it. He only died because he escaped and tried again. And Thrall killed him in combat before he was recaptured.
You are trying to paint a partisan narrative on it. But this whole ‘she got off because she was Alliance’ argument doesn’t work when you look at the the whole picture.
She was sent to the Maw which is much worse then simple dead since the Arbiter would have send her to Revendreth.
You do know you are still charged with a crime even if you do it in an altered state of mind
Haha. A clear brushing off the evidence because it proves you wrong. The whole ‘it doesn’t count because reasons’ fallacy.
Also, the Maw sentence is temporary, she can return once she is done cleaning up that mess she made. And again, not dead.
Anyone can be charged with anything. You could be charged with a crime you didn’t commit. The verdict is what determines things. Which is why I said no court would convict her.
And people in that kind of state are usually ruled ‘Not guilty by reason of…’ Different areas have different specific rules on how that is applied. But generally the verdict is ultimately a ‘Not Guilty’ one.
Afterlife is not horrible unless you serve the Jailer directly-
If that is your view: Why do you care who ‘dies for their crimes?’
But, to your comment:
Revendreth doesn’t seem ‘pleasant’ by any stretch.
And we don’t know what other realms there are. We are told there are TONS of others we never went to. So, who knows how many other ‘bad’ afterlives there are.
Plus there is the whole not being able to return thing. Sylvanas has the ability to finish her task and return. How long that takes just depends on when Blizzard decides to bring her back.
i laughed out loud at this because the ‘unspeakable acts’ were the jaina npc walking around dalaran spamming ice lance at random npcs in one obscure scenario. i guarantee the quest designers put 0 thought into that and barely remember it /acknowledge it as a canon event
also if thats the bar for unspeakable acts in this game, literally every single character in the game has done this at some point or another including every player character from the start of every starting area lmao you guys need to relax
Nothing cranks up the hyperbole engine like a little bit of faction warfare.
Hey if killing and arresting innocents in hyperbole to you, thats on you
“Unspeakable”
cut to everyone speraking about it ad naseum
Way to take the words literally genius
PULLING THE TRIGGER IS.
She didn’t accidentally almost kill one person.
She intentionally almost killed an entire city.
THREE TIMES.
No one is going to absolve her of that.
Jesus wept.
