I have to wonder if this is the way Ion wants it…
You’re wrong!!! I play both of those games, and the level toxicity in both ESO and FF14 doesn’t even come close to how sweaty WoW has gotten.
Nice try though, trying to make excuses for WoW’s toxic community.
You are playing the wrong genre if this is what you are trying to get out of MMOs.
No, no they aren’t? Edit: glitch
I used to really enjoy the social aspects of the game, heck I still have some of those friendships IRL. Most of the people I once enjoyed it with are long since gone from it though so I really slowly descended into a solo playstyle, especially recent expansions.
Not sure what it is really, anytime I do group content there’s so much hostility between players and a real go go go me me me attitude that I just can’t get down with. The spirit of cooperation and shared adventure seems rarer.
Maybe I just got old?
I agree that they’re really relaxing and therapeutic, they should make the follower duns go up to mythic (for dungeons) and LFR difficulty (for raids).
I’m a semi-hardcore raider and I love just chilling with my npc bros haha
follower Dungeons
Big fan of follower dungeons. Like them more than delves. Too bad you hit the roadblock at level cap. Unless you want some valorstones there is no other reason to do them after getting to 80 unfortunately. No drama nerd rage having to put up with is the best thing about them. Hoping they will eventually be another way to progress for solo playing folks, but seeing how they trying push delves as the only option currently doubt we will see fd’s go beyond normal mode.
Some would argue that it’s the chill laid back player ruining the game by standing in fire, bricking keys, wiping raids, and wasting everyone else’s time

Everything you’re saying is right, but given where we are, this might be a problematic statement
MMO’s are about the open world
Part of the fun for sure. With the exception of Legion BFA, and DF to an extent they have successfully taken the world out of this game after you hit level cap. Saw a post on Twitter x whatever people want to call it now saying pretty much the same. Take world out of the title of the game, and call the game instances of instancecraft
The forced follower dungeon in the campaign basically ensured I’ll never do the campaign again on alts.

I mean he was in the Guild Elitist Jerks he figured out a fight was mathematically impossible so they made him a Raid encounter designer. Then he became lead Dev.
cool exclusive stuff earned from the past that is no longer available.
I almost exclusively rock my Hand of A’Dal title
It’s much better with friends than with randos. It’s just hard to get all the bois on these days.
What makes playing MMO’s fun is playing it with people who aren’t just out to be competitive.
And the OP isn’t saying to get rid of group content…
Maybe I just got old?
Nope, Blizzard just chased the most toxic and competitive players in gaming with their dumb vision to turn WoW into an e-sport.

i agree, e-sport is totally useless in terms of making money, because there’s nobody watching them, instead blizzard should make the game fun that’s their main attraction and main money making method
Please expand on Delves, Follower Dungeons and Solo content. Increase the rewards to be competitive.
Agree with this entirely. Playing dungeons with real people is awful.
Blizzard needs to take some queues from the popularity of Classic, and just stop trying to cater the game around people that hate MMOs.
Here’s the thing:
I did my time in raiding back in the day, I did plenty of dungeons/raids runs back during BC when you had to manually form the groups. It was fine then, I had some time to do those raids every once in a while.
I did my time with the queuing system also. Learned a lot about how to play a healer and deal with some nasty situations I wouldn’t normally run into with a static group. That was actually quite fun for a while and taught me a lot.
Now, I’m semi retired with all of that, but I do like to do the things every once in a blue moon and LFR has been a nice thing to have around.
I don’t touch Mythics, but I don’t advocate for it’s removal.
Personally, I’m all for Blizzard revisiting or expanding on some ideas (ahem: housing using Garrison tech).
It’s evolved a ton over the last two decades.
Have you seen the new hunter pet UI?
Don’t get me wrong there are some chill players out there looking to have fun too
~_~
Then maybe you should learn that we don’t want a game set by your standards and realize that setting an anti-social standard isn’t the way to go.
Honestly. How sad can this forum get?
Muted btw.
