I've Realized that What Makes MMOs FUN is NOT Playing with Other People

Chicken was never the original intention of Burger King, in fact for 25 years there was no chicken sandwich on the menu.

Cool story that completely ignores the point.

Should I said fries and onion rings instead? Would that have helped your brain process?

not everyone has “the boys”

Edit: Personally, I think follower dungeons are great for people who want to practice dungeons on their own before doing them with real people because they get anxious.

If you want to be an anti social loser who avoids contact with people their whole life, that’s your prerogative. Just stop acting like the world should accommodate you for it, this game included.

You are the exact type of player the OP is trying to avoid, lol.

Ok I haven’t played in forever, how do you get “followers” and do they need levelling as well?

Oh don’t worry, I’d avoid him too.

Homie, you’re playing world of warcraft

Your point? Oh you’re strawmanning
 gotcha.

I would of loved to see this argument back in the day of Asheron’s call, DAoC or some of the other MMO’s from the start of this genre.

There are plenty of reasons. The main one being that this game is designed to entertain a very diverse audience, and it’s a reward-driven game. Unless delves got harder, hard enough to rival Mythic raiding, there’s no reason for them to reward that level of gear.

Otherwise you seek to undermine the rewards at the end of more challenging content, which isn’t fair to those that enjoy it. If you believe that the only way to complete your character is to have the best gear available, then you should go after it. If you don’t want to but you still want the reward without the effort, then I guess too bad, so sad. This game design is a compromise, it doesn’t revolve around any one of us.

I do hope that they expand on delves and make them much harder and much more rewarding, however, but I doubt they will because it seems like they know that few people actually enjoy M+ or Raid anymore, and if they provided a non-group path to the best gear, those end-game systems would likely die.

While I do agree with you, I really just want to tell you I love your character’s look. It is exquisite.

Lmao, let me know when blockchain will save the world.

It definitely helped me out find a bug that was causing my character to not lob barrels at the final boss in Dawnbreaker from an addon I use.

Don’t wanna be screwing up mechanics in Mythic!

People who don’t know what straw-manning is really need to stop using the word

What he is thinking is plain absurd, you wanna play a game or eat snacks?
There is a content for you guys, it is called pet battles.

And jokes aside, if you are an okay player you can chill and clear low m+
and normal raids are ez af.

What he wants is actually removing all the hardcore/elitist content and pull everyone to his level.

GIT GUD

I agree with you OP. Having so much more fun solo these days without having to worry about the judgments and gatekeeping of other players.

Was just a different time. Those MMOs came about during an era when a persistent world with other people online was a fresh and novel thing. The internet as a whole has evolved way past that. Playing online is no longer some fantastic new experience, it’s just the norm.

Look at MMOs like EQ who cling to the old ways. They have extremely niche audiences. WoW adapted to the times and still chugs along because of it.

I found the opposite to be true.

When I was trying to learn to heal, I tried the Follower Dungeon, they wouldn’t LET me heal. The tank healed and the elemental shaman healed for me. The game wasn’t giving me a chance.

There isn’t anymore cooperation in dungeons anymore. It’s laughable. I can do a follower dungeon and get just as much out of it as a heroic or mythic dungeon. The only difference is the tank will try hard not to out pace the rest of the group in a follower dungeon. I might as well play solo as there is no communication, no need for tactics. Just haul butt after the tank and when he decides to stop (usually in the middle or end of the dungeon), don’t die. Vote to boot someone that asks to go a little slower. Thats my MMO experience.

In the dungeon finder pull down menu. Just pick follower dungeon, and what dungeon you want to do. And no leveling followers required which in itself makes them better than delves imo.
