I've never seen a Mechagnome

As a used to be alliance main and gnomes being my favorite race I was super hyped for this and it turned out to be a giant let down of what mechagnomes could be.

True. I’ve run a lot of battlegrounds and I can say I haven’t seen many mechagnomes or Kul Tirans for that matter.

This is probably the best take tbh.

I would level one but dont have them unlocked. I would have preferred a terminator type look or two face. Where its half man half machine. Or a robot form and gnome form.

Like LF Draenei, M. Gnomes should have been cosmetic options. We could of had like the snake people, or Dyrads but I think LF Draenei are the worst because there’s little options, I can barely see the “rune” thing and its the same exact copy as the original and I think you lose a few class choices. /:

I’ve seen one in my 7 days /played at level 60. They are by far the most disgusting race ever added. Blizzard just hates Alliance and keeps pushing people away from us. Horde are the furry faction yeah, but at least that brings in players for them. Who the hell is going to swap to Alliance to play a MECHAGNOME?!?!?!

I actually noticed one yesterday when doing my covenant mission follower things… I actually thought to myself “there’s something I seem to never see”. It’s probably the first time I’ve actually actively noticed one this expansion

The only thing I wanted vulpera in the game for, was to have something I could enjoy killing over and over and over and over and over.

Hi. I think mechagnomes are rad. I just faction/race changed an undead warrior I wasn’t playing to a mechagnome. He joins my mechagnome rogue and death knight.

seeing how they handled wildhammers this is true; yeah you can create a separate set of racials to justify the distinction between the 2 like lightforged spending milennia at war while draenor draenei spent milennia vacationing so their ingame presence would probably be a little different as far as what theyre capable of but blizzard discarded that with wildhammer instead of giving us a separate race with racials probably like faster flying or maybe a built in slow fall or fall reduce they just made it a skin; so they can do it

Like LF Draenei, M. Gnomes should have been cosmetic options.

This narrative keeps getting repeated but there is so many holes in it. They make sense because we were supposed to get a gnome AR. I argue in many ways they are more unique than all other allied races. Also if they were just custom options, there wouldn’t be any unique animations, voice lines and racials.

We could of had like the snake people, or Dyrads

Was there every anything to remotely indicate we would get dryads? Snake people would sooner be horde.

LF Draenei are the worst

This I do agree with though. Generally I tend to be on the side of"Reskins as allied races is fine if done well", but draenei and highmountain taurens are examples of bad cases. LF Draenei look almost exactly like core race draenei and have even less options. I think reskins can be fine though with some reasonable effort and distinction put into them. Dark Iron dwarf is a good example.

I’ve seen one in my 7 days /played at level 60.

If you have only seen one, you are trying not to see them. I’ve found that people who claim to have only seen them a few times or non at all are simply saying this out of hate or aversion to them. Head to the mechagnome love thread and you’ll see plenty.

I really wish the Wildhammer were their own AR.

They’re not Bronzebeard Dwarves in either culture or in physical appearance. Several times over the course of the wow universe they’ve been explained as being taller and more lanky/nimble. Plus they really need their Stormhammers and gryphons as racials.

They’d also have had an amazing Gryphon racial mount I’m sure.

Honestly most of the races should have separate racials and in my opinion that’s enough. Just adding them as customization takes away too much of what they are and what people who want that race like about it.

Now if they added in an option to change Bronzebeard dwarf racials for Wildhammer ones, I’d take that as a compromise.

that and the continuity errors but exiles reach was blizz’s fix for that they didnt want to update the old zones again so they gave you an option to gloss over the cataclysm, lightforged and regular draenei both starting off in ammen vale a little weird. void elves obviously couldnt be a skin for blood elves but imagine how more dynamic and immersive the velf intro would be if you actually started off as a blood elf in sunstrider isle or something (even high elves could start there since theyre technically allowed in QT); kind of a missed opportunity to not give starter quests

they obviously opted instead for the recruitment chain which to me is baffling you’d do the race’s quests as… a different race.

I play every race, so naturally I had to unlock mechagnomes and level one to max. And its name had to start with A, since I’ve used up all the consonants. So I chose a mage named Amathy.

I hate the mechanical legs. They remind me of some real humans I’ve seen that have mechanical legs. But a wizard’s robe covers that part, so it was okay.
