Dragonflight sucks, it’s boring, the story is bad and WoW is dying is the general consensus on the forums.
Now, mind you, the expansion sucks, is boring, has a bad story and WoW is dying has been the forum’s stance on every expansion since Burning Crusade. So take that how you will.

Dragonflight is a great step out of what we had for the past two expansions, but I’ve been ready to leave dragons behind for a while now.

The devs threw a lot of spaghetti at the wall in DF. So although there are a lot of pieces that fell flat for me, enough stuck to the wall that I’ve been able to assemble a gameplay loop I’ve been greatly enjoying.

Dragonflight at least to me is mid, there are some things that Dragonflight did well and there are some things that Dragonflight didn’t do well.
The only leak imo that has some sort of plausibility is the zone leaks but considering how many “leaks” I have seen on MMO-Champion, have been so painfully fake so far, even more painful that some have used AI to make those “leaks”.
There was a documentary I watched on Pixar a long time ago where one of the directors was like “every single movie we have ever made, there was a point where we went 'this is the worst movie ever”
Dragonflight is a banger expansion and I hope they continue this model in the future. I’m not personally interested in the story or the lore, but the systems have been excellent with the exception of new professions which I feel have fallen a bit flat.

i stopped playing DF for other games it’s just not all that interesting to me but rumors on new content for classic wow has me hoping!
Legion was an absolute high point, and while DF hasn’t quite hit that, it’s the best expansion in years IMO. I rate it 4th. Legion > WOTLK > MOP > DF
It feels like the development team is actually trying again. The content is better…WQ’s are back to being quick to complete, and the “daily chores” from BFA/SL are gone. The story is MUCH better than Shadowlands (granted that’s a low bar), there have even been individual character stories I’d consider brilliant. We need more stuff like this, and less stuff like Zereth Mortis, where the only thing they could focus on is how you can walk on the water. I’m a shaman, I’ve been water walking since I started in early 2006.
It’s not saying it’s perfect and there aren’t improvements to be made. But as long as they keep going in this direction it’s the start of WOW’s redemption arc.
Generally the expansion is viewed as a big L. Unfortunately you’ll only get alot of “survivor” bias from people still subbed to the game telling you the story is amazing, the 392480923 systems are great and its the best wow has ever been. But the number simply refute this nonsense. More people are gravitating to Classic WoW or just unsubbing all together. Retail is viewed as an empty shell of what WoW used to be.
the tldr of dragonfail is its still a fail but less fail than shadowfails. you aren’t missing much.

Try doing Chromie Time in Outland, questing through HFP on a ground mount is a sobering experience.
I like DF. Yeah, there are many things that really bother me about this expansion. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the raids really, and well the M+ pool for season 3 SUCKS.
