I’ve always had beef with this belief, but maybe that’s just because I was a solo PvPer in Vanilla. I would have had to join a premade if I ever got close to R14 (just barely missed 10 and was going for 11). I get the idea that R14 is just a time commitment, but I also say that if you spend that much time PvPing you should gain skill as you play.
It’s definitely different in Classic than Vanilla though because there are so many more premades and they’re using optimized comps geared out to roll pugs to grind out honor which doesn’t result in meaningful PvP that one gets better from.
If I was a blue, I would post: “maybe you can have tbc, it depends on forum behavior.”

I really can’t understand how anyone could not want to go the TBC route. I mean TBC is better then classic in every single way. Classic is fun, sure, but it’s just a necessary evil to get to TBC.

I would like to see a TBC server launch with shadowlands. Id play both.

They ain’t deleting or changing anything. If that wasn’t allowed in classic it ain’t allowed in any future expansion rerelease.

Actually, i think there was. IIRC it was a combination of quests giving more XP and/or XP needed for each level being reduced. And a number of elite mobs were nerfed down to normal mobs to make those quests even easier.
I am loving Classic and looking forward to TBC. Honestly though, both are only steps to what I really want …, WotLK.
Yeah I know that late Wrath introduced some of the bad stuff we still have today but, early Wrath was so worth it.
Wrath is the only expansion that I could see myself playing long term without wanting anything new.
But that’s just my opinion

I agree. Whichever method they choose for tbc servers, I will be playing on them. Copy or fresh. Don’t matter to me.

That’s the beauty of it. You can still play your classic all you want you are not being forced to play TBC even tho it was the best xp blizzard ever made!!

Don’t forget that pvp in tbc was imbalanced af because of arms warriors and resto druids. Also if you have both servers up it will split the player base which will already be small at that point in classic imo. No thx

The only TBC servers that existed were bug riddle messes. That’s why they were unpopular. Even Warmane couldn’t get their servers to work anywhere near as good as nastalrius or lights hope did for classic. Warmane did a good job with wrath though.

Surprise arena doesn’t age well when you don’t have progressive talents, arena sucks and is extremely simple. Terrible gameplay
