And it’s a Blood Elf Horde city
I just want to say your guild name brings me joy.
lmao thanks. I think we have a few people who are in it just for the name.
As much as I would love them to do that… no one will go besides RP players and most of them have left wow and are so few of numbers that it would not justify it.
They really need to rebuild an alliance and horde city at this point. I’m down for Gilneas or a new theramoore for alliance while SM gets entirely revamped. All these are RP hotspots (with theramoore was one) Exodar is fine as well, but rping in a spaceship isn’t that much fun for me.
But blizzard likes to keep us in one capital city, it’s stupid.
In a massive role playing game with this much lore behind it this is exactly the wrong mentality to have.
The Night Elves are even sleeping rough on the Stormwind canals now.
Gilneas, Kezan are still waiting for functionality so as much as a work of art Suramar is I would not count on it.
Absolutely agreed. Silvermoon is, and always will be, a Horde (Blood Elf) capital city.
They told us they tried to in Cata in multiple interviews during Cata Beta lol.
They said there were severe issues that arose when they tried and it would have (as cliche as it sounds, it’s what they said), it would have cost a raid tier worth of dev time to do.
Not only that, but it would’ve cost a ton of art team time as well, probably a raid tiers worth, as everything in “the distance” in Silvermoon and Exodar are 2d, because they weren’t designed to be flown in.
Now, if they completely redid Exodar/Isles and Silvermoon/Woods, and revamped them as like, a non-starting area, and as a new zone for the expac, that’d be a different story. But just revamp to revamp, I don’t see them doing.
Exodar doesn’t really need much in the way of updating since its an enclosed space (there’s no 2d smoke and mirrors inside the Exodar because its not necessary), unless Blizz wanted to make fundamentl changes to the interior.
Even Azuremyst/Bloodmyst wouldn’t need much in the way of updating either since the islands aren’t blocked off with invisible walls around the coast like Silvermoon is in many places. You can traverse the entirety of the islands’ shores without impediment. There might be some touch ups needed in a few spots for flight views, but the work required would be only a fraction of what Silvermoon/Eversong/Quel’danas would need.
Seems pertinent to point out considering
I’m tired of seeing half of my once beautiful city in ruins from the scourge that Arthas lead
If the Blood Elves would have rebuilt instead of joining the Horde then maybe. It isn’t worth the effort now.
Quel’danis
Quel’danis?
That Quel’thalas’ cousin?
Agreed. I find it just as annoying as you probably do when people call for Silvermoon to be neutral/accessible to Void Elves.
Quel’danis
he he sorry, typo on my part.
Quel’danas.
I’m sure you do
If you feel I am being insincere, I can link you to previous posts I’ve made stating my stance on Silvermoon if you like.
That’s how I feel as well. Silvermoon is a Horde capital city. Even if Blizzard someday allows Horde and Alliance players to group up, I can’t imagine that Alliance players will ever be welcome in Silvermoon. I really want Silvermoon to be updated though. The Exodar and surrounding areas could be flyable with the flip of a switch, but Silvermoon, and certain parts of the surrounding areas, need work to both be flyable, and to just be touched up to more modern levels of quality in general. It k…
Silvermoon is a Horde capital. There is no reason why Alliance should be allowed there. While Alliance allied High Elves that aren’t Ren’dorei (because the void is a danger to the Sunwell) are allowed pilgrimage to the isle of Quel’danas (the Sunwell), Silvermoon City is not a place that welcomes members of the Alliance and nothing has changed in that regard. All the new customization options allow is for Alliance players to play as the Alliance allied High Elves they see in Alliance capitals …
That would just be… ridiculous. Silvermoon is a Horde capital. That’s not likely to ever change, not in game, nor out. And even if there may be some citizens of Silvermoon disgruntled with being part of the Horde, the fact is that the Blood Elves have been members of the Horde for years now. I would imagine that most of the citizenry have grown accustomed to being part of the Horde after all this time, and any who aren’t happy now have an easy “in” to the Alliance through the Ren’dorei if they…
Yes you’re very concerned about Blood Elves
I get that you’re still bitter about the customizations, and I also get that the idea that you and I might agree on something is distasteful to you, but it is what is. We do, in fact, agree that Silvermoon is, and always will be a Horde/Blood Elf capital city.
