I’m surprised blood elves didn’t riot for there being no barbershop in their Capital city.
You’re just being pedantic.
Despite popular belief I have a sense of humor. One day I noticed the lack of Barber Shop in Silvermoon City. I opened a GM ticket and asked why there wasn’t a barber shop in Silvermoon City.
The game master said that Blood Elves didn’t need to barber shop because their hair was naturally perfect. It was very good.
Edit: Somehow my voice transcription has lost accuracy.
It’s more that it’s half a mile under Hellfire
I would rather remain in an unupdated buggy zone but still be able to use the zone then have the zone updated and taken away.
I sincerely doubt they’d give the zone to the dozen or so helfers who are still unhappy with the velf cosmetic options and want a reset to WC2.
What I do thing Bliz would absolutely do is wreck Exodar and Silvermoon to force everyone in cities that haven’t invented indoor plumbing like Org or Stormwind.
Like I won’t lie that my hope if they draw down the factions’ role in gameplay and story is that “peripheral” faction races go their own way more, non-aligned style, but as long as it stays there, I doubt they’re going to do that after they realized that certain story decisions in a certain expansion made players mostly angry at the writers for doing that.
(I feel the same about Kalimdor alliance’s supposed loyalty to the house of Wrynn fwiw)
Okay so I have a 3D modeling background. I’m sure the map is built a little different but my brain is just going…
Why not switch to orthographic side view and select all the geometry in Silvermoon then export it?
IMO this is the best way to handle it.
Although i’m not entirely convinced they couldn’t redo both Eversong and Azuremyst seeing as Azuremyst is 95% done already due to the city being already 3D modeled underground. The main issue is Eversong. So they could just delete that entire zone (seeing as both Eversong and Azuremyst are extremely far away from the main Outland zones and can’t be reached without hacks) and rebuild it from scratch. Although you would be left with an extremely dated looking Azuremyst vs a high rez Eversong. So that would probably be weird.
On the other hand, if they wanted to actually integrate both Azuremyst and Eversong into the main EK and Kali maps, that would be much more complicated seeing as you would have to basically shift zones around to make room. That being said, it wouldn’t be as difficult as un-instancing Stratholme due to the current map overlay issue it has now.
I would legit hate that change because I don’t trust the writers to not somehow make the zone storylines significantly worse than BC’s quests. Having both coexisting in some way would be my preferred option
Well TBC quests are currently the oldest in the game. IMO Cata improved a lot on the vanilla style quests which is what TBC most closely resembles. So I don’t think they could make it any worse.
TBC quests were more advanced than the vanilla quests in design, for one they were more hublike than vanilla’s infuriating “be a gopher across three zones on both continents to finish this questline” - really afaik the only part of vanilla that sort of tried that was the Barrens, sort of.
Also they told stories, good stories in some cases, dumb ones in others, but mostly good stories. I don’t trust the writing team to improve more than they’ll worsen currently
Yes that’s true about the quest flow from Vanilla to TBC. But TBH I never really noticed the TBC quest lines being shining beacons of storytelling. Nothing I can remember specifically. A few were good I’m sure? I guess there was the main Illidan arc but you’ve have to be real stupid to stuff up Illidan lol.
But I found that Cata had some really good storylines. Like the EP wagon chain, the Frandral and his daughter arc in Hyjal to Firelands raid and a couple others rise to the surface of my memory.
I liked EP and Hyjal as stories
However Cata Redridge and Westfall also exist
Glad someone appreciates the work they did. Cataclysm Tirisfal Glades is very well done.
How about we make Suramar a functional city first.
Dear GOD NO! Activision Blizzard will just ruin it!
I would love Silvermoon and Exodar to get a remaster touch up of the zones but I do not think I want them redone. Just upping the details in the zones and making things more like BfA level polish.
They were gonna attach the Ghostlands to the Plaguelands in cataclysm but ran out of time. If you fly under the flimsy invisible wall by Stratholme you can actually see where they tried to connect them.
They don’t have to update all of TBC for this. They weren’t going to before.
It’s a shame though because Silvermoon really suffers from “smoke and mirrors” syndrome. The city is entirely 2D assets.
I was going to say the same thing. Rebuild Silvermoon? They didn’t even finish building it the first time!
Hello fellow goggles wearing Blood Knight. I like the mog.
Yes ive been wanting this! Silvermoon has so much potential
Does the Horde have the budget for it?
