Its time to limit PvP to Mages and Warriors only

all other classes should be banned from pvp. I mean bubble, stealth, tanks, healers. Its too much. Just abolish them from PvP.

In fact lets just limit PvP to only mages. They can sit there and not even have to move while Harry Pottering each other to the death.

Well now that I think about it. Ban Frost Mage from PvP. Arcane and Fire only. Frost has too much survivability. We dont want any tankiness or defensive or healing in pvp.

What about cauterize? Shouldn’t you ban Fire Mages, too?

I’m sure cauterize won’t be broken for Fire Mages with cheat death trinkets in SL. Gonna be so much fun having to kill them multiple times. :man_facepalming:

Oh, you mean like Paladins with their 3x lives? Cauterize is probably the worst cheat death there is.

  1. It procs every 5 minutes. No way around that.
  2. It brings you back to 35% hp
  3. Immediately burns you for roughly 5% health
  4. Burns you for 28% over 6 seconds (roughly 5% per second)
  5. Leaves you with roughly 7% hp - basically, an auto-attack to kill you.
  6. If you don’t want to get burned, you have to use ICE BLOCK (a 5 minute cd) to cancel effect
  7. Hope to have your barrier up, as it’ll absorb roughly 22% of the effect, when not being beaten on.

I think cauterize is really dumb. Just remove it, and give us back blazing speed.

I wasn’t referring to buffs or nerfs for the class. Just trying to correct that Cauterize is a horrible cheat death mechanic.

I, and hopefully some other mages, would like to see it removed and replaced with blazing speed! I loved using that back on LM and slow falling all the way to GM. Good times.

Hmm idk. Might still have to ban fire mage from pvp content also.

It is and if we could remove Gpie, Shields and Shimmer then we be onto some better class design. Won’t happen though because they want everyone to have everything and borrow more of everything from other systems.

caut should just be like hunter exhilaration

cheat deaths are dumb

fire also should have 70% blastwave instead of root
i have no idea why fire has access to everything in the current iteration of the game
i’ll die on that hill

I play arcane. It is fun and feels fast paced. Now if only polymorph was on a celestial school for arcane mages only.

Reason, interrupting polymorph on:

Frost mages -

  1. They can still deal damage
  2. Root with nova
  3. Use ring of frost (talent)
  4. Root with pet
  5. Cast blink/shimmer
  6. Use their barrier.

Fire mages -

  1. They can still deal damage
  2. Root with nova
  3. Use dragon’s breath
  4. Cast ring of frost (talent),
  5. Blink/shimmer
  6. Use barriers.

Arcane mages -

  1. Cannot deal damage
  2. Cannot use barrier
  3. Cannot blink/shimmer
  4. Can use nova root
  5. Ring of frost (if talented)
  6. Can run around, arms flailing in the air.
