Social contract is a phrase that you are ascribing an enormous amount of completely unnecessary context to. It is no different than “terms of service” or “code of conduct” in any meaningful way.
“Woke” is a nonsense word at this point, misused by anyone who opposes viewpoints they see as “too” progressive.
Why use terms of service? Why use code of conduct? It is what it is.
That is why I added “at this point”. The meaning of words change.
At one point, it referred to the state of being aware of social injustices and issues. Now, it is mainly used as a conservative bogeyman to denote things supported by the political left. As a term it has been mostly abandoned by its original users.
Agreed. A less toxic environment would be great. Hepburn made the comment of “we are worried about ‘social contract’ deciding how we interact with one another”.
You viewed the contract as “don’t be a jerk”, signed it and went on about your life. I signed it as well and playing right now waiting for queues.
Hepburn was for the most part polite with their views. You and Jared, expressed your views as well.
He was then told that he has mental issues and Jared was a passive aggressive jerk towards him about it.
So, while I agree with you that WoW needs to change with the toxicity shouldn’t you and Jared be a part of this change as well?
These days its gone over to other countries. I loved listening to LBC, they had one guy over there that when asked what woke is, started with “what it means to me”. You always know they have no clue when they say that
My concern that mental health hangups could be responsible for this odd fixation on specific terms used was genuine, as was my suggestion to reconsider his position in light of this.
I don’t believe I’ve been “toxic” here, but you’re welcome to report me and let Blizzard be the judge.
LOL that is NOT why they are losing subscribers They are losing subscribers because they
a) Keep cancelling their most popular shows after 1-2 seaons (most of which actually do include LGBTQ characters ironically enough to the contrary of your statement) because they care more about obtaining new subs rather than retaining the current ones, which is now coming around to bite them. Maybe watch the actors of these shows talk about it sometime, educate yourself, idk.
b) Keep raising the price of their monthly sub
c) Are losing many of their most popular shows to new Subscription-based platforms that are taking back their own shows like Disney + etc. whereas before Netflix was the ONLY sub-based content platform. Now they are competing with HBO max, Disney +, Amazon Video, Paramount Plus, etc.
But yeah, them going woke is totally why Y’all are so desperate to be right that you will ignore literal logic lol
