You actually can’t. There is no box to check unless you create the group. It’s being imposed on people in the hope that the new system will become the current system. Of course it’d make more sense if we shared everything else, but to hope that the animosity will go away by making players sharing a dungeon run is unreal, they know it, so they added their little 5th grade contract.

It’s so funny because typically those that are all like “put me on ignore, if you don’t want to see what I post lol”, when I do, now I’m “bent out of shape”. I can’t win.

Sadly if everyone did what you did things would be less problematic instead most people hard flag anything they don’t like until it gets hidden.

And with this, you are wrong. It’s not just telling users to not be jerks. They have expanded the ability to report people with “bad” behavior, which leads to bans. False reporting will be abused and with an automated system, it will take time and effort to get the ban remoed.
Not only that, but being a jerk or douche is subjective. Like when i talk with my friends we might say dude you’re being the R word. Its not us being jerks, its us joking around, thats our humor. But even on the forums i have to censore myself from saying that word. Flippin rediculous!
Good thing the Ban isn’t the first tick.

There are no automated bans. The only thing automated is the silencing if there are a large number of reports. There is zero account action taken without active investigation.
That’s why societies have rules. So there is a standard of behavior that is considered polite in mixed company. If you’re trying to assert your interpretation over the acceptable community standard, you are wrong.
And in private, that is between you and your friends. If there are more people around, it’s not your humor anymore, it’s for public consumption and it isn’t appropriate.
No, it’s not ridiculous. This is a forum open to everyone, it’s not your living room. There is all kinds of speech that isn’t appropriate here, and if you’re not mature enough to handle it you shouldn’t be here. Same with in game chat.
