Or even the new ones. For most, 1800/1950 is too high for them to ever get the elite set and illusion.

Not new players, I meant the new sets.
Most people who try rated do not see those elite shoulders/helm. And 100% of the ones who dont do rated in the first place donāt either (which is the vast majority of all wow Players).
Are you sure? Some of these guys reckon you get your rewards just by logging in. Iām currently afk in dornagal waiting for the stuff to land in my bag, no success yet, will report back.

Itās a question of how many people would stop current season progression. The logic would be that game balance changes over time, so if you feel your current class is underpowered, you may give up and wait for a later season when youāre strong to push for all of the sets.
For 1800, we would need data that no one in this thread has to determine the causal impact of this change.
Why would you stop progression if there was no rating requirement attached to getting the sets? If anything, it would increase participation because it gives those people who perceive their class to be dogwater an avenue to actually acquire the sets whether they hit 1800 of not.
What are you setting as the requirements to obtain it, thereās so much back and forth that I canāt tell the actual proposal
It would be a trading post type system. You progress by doing the weekly quests, and getting wins in whatever rated content you wanted, regardless of rating. So if someone is hard suck at 1300, but they win 50% of their matches at 1300, they can eventually get the sets.

1800 is already pretty low for the setsā¦ 1950 is pretty low for the enchant.

About 80% of the pvp player base never sees 1800.

If someone is stuck at the rating where people play with their feet and monitor turned off then they shouldnāt have access to every reward.
People at 1850mmr in shuffle donāt have half their spells keybound and hardly ever press their ccs/interupts nor do they do half the damage they should be. If you just have gear and know your dps rotation you instantly have elite gear the same day.
Those models are still in the game. Go clear the old raids.

1800 the 80% percentile, which means only 20% of all characters in rss have hit 1800 or higher.
