It"s real they are doing it

These multiple boosting communities want the same thing. They still want to attract any new person buying boosts as well as retain the buyers they already have.

They are after the boosting communities who cover multiple realms. A Guild selling carries on one server is still ok. Reread the Article

These communities are not one Guild. They are not a guild at all they are a business

Good then Blizzard will be forced to take further action.

They made the authentication and it didn’t work. Now they’re trying this. Then they’ll take it even further.

Judging by some of the responses in this thread, it sounds like there are a few people in here that are upset about this change. Kinda sus if you ask me. Arguing against this change insinuates you had a hand in it somewhere, and either your livelihood or purchased services are being impacted. Not a good look on you.

Doubtful. They literally just stated that guilds can still use tradechat to spam sales.

This is ONLY targeting communities like Houkan.

so its just the advertising, not the boosting itself, thats been banned?

Read my comment above. This has been answered. Its like 3 post up

They first added the LFG authenticator. Now they’re doing this. That’s called a progression.

The thing about progressions is they are
 progressive.

I really don’t see how this helps at all. This has overall just created more scamming, more spamming and legitimately nothing else. You’ll see an influx of boosters to the most populated realms since cross realm boosting communities have been banned and you’ll see a lot more spamming and guild’s being advertised instead. It doesn’t really put a stop to boosting from any angle I can really see. The only thing I can possibly see is this being an attempt to limit RMT which is easily stopped by discord tags being exchanged in PMs.

Please re-read what I was responding to. I never implied that selling on an individual server wasn’t allowed now. But let’s be honest, back in Vanilla, most people were using RMT to buy the gold to purchase these runs, because there was no token.

Also, removing these communities doesn’t solve any issues, just increases the risks for any buyer as they’re now buying from some random person / guild. Hate the large boosting communities all you want, but they did bring some level of legitimacy and comfort to purchasing a boost which is now out the window.

It depends. If you’re a legitimate guild, not a website like Huokan, then boosting is fine. Legitimate guilds don’t spam trade chat and compromise accounts.

I openly admit to selling heroic clears.

This affects more than most people actually think it does.

This is just being done to promote the incoming mass character transfers.

This will increase the cost of sales on low pop realms and force people to move to more populated servers.

You clearly ignored where Blizzard openly states guilds selling boosts are still 100% legal.

Keep your head in the sand if you want

Legitimate guilds DO spam tradechat. Only it’s going to get worse because that’s not the only place to advertise.

Wait, are you implying people doing what was literally allowed until a few hours ago are “sus”?

Wrong, legit guilds spam trade chat, individuals spam trade chat, and organizations spammed trade chat. Now we’re going to replace organizations with more guilds and individuals, and I full expect the volume to actually go up, as these large organizations were composed of many guilds and individuals.

Then I guess I wait until it is a transmog item if I can’t get it to drop in raid

My guild has already created a guild called MG Boosts on malganis

Agreed.

This will really hurt mythic raid guilds and those that used boosting revenue to pay for subs.

But I’m sure that players will ignore the poorly designed game play and come rushing back to play WoW now right?!..RIGHT?!

The only place to get it is from the raid.
