Fun fact: mythic raiders were caught up in bot bans for using fishing bots in the past.
I agree and I disagree.
As far as the constant “I want I want I want” whiners, I agree, don’t cater to them.
As far as casual content like collecting, archeology, and achievements, those are all very beneficial activities to the game and most likely why WoW is very hard to unseat. Every MMO will have content droughts, only WoW has 18 years of development that has been leveraged to provide something to do in those droughts.
I do think the end game content has gotten too extreme for a lot of casual players and it turns them away from it. Affixes and mechanics have slowly been cranked up and in most cases aren’t self evident as to what’s going on. When you have to go do 15 minutes of research outside of the game to figure out why you died and what has to be done to avoid it, it’s a problem.
I do the content I have time for. Sometimes, I might do some raiding, sometimes, I just dont have time for it. I used to have more time, but, I have a family, I have a decent job, and to be honest, I have found a few things I enjoy more than playing WoW. The game just isn’t as fun or interesting anymore.
However, I am not one to demand the rewards for content I am either unwilling, or unable to do. That said, I get what I get for what content I do, and I am fine with that.
I do not understand the logic behind making an mmorpg game that is not dedicated to RPG’ers.
I’ve never heard of this but like. It’s funny to me, honestly.
A product designed to give the masses what they ask for ( sometimes)
Pay the same price…same content is okay
Doesn’t hurt anyone personally
Let me guess, Dark Souls player?
Well, okay, if they are NPCs then they are NPCs that pay Blizzard money for being in the game. No other NPCs do this. Blizzard should want more of them.
Ah so that’s the reason
They did nerf Soar because people would be able to do pet battles faster.
But how do you know that? #thetruthisoutthere
So Blizzard should discourage -MORE- paying customers?
Great business sense there, bro.
I mean…at this point do we expect them to do much else?
Not saying I necessarily disagree with your point, but this sentence doesn’t make any sense. It’s like saying your specialty is everything.
it’s like a restaurant serving only a single food. probably less paying customers
In response to the OP, the more baffling thing is when THOSE people demand mounts. “Hey, I log in 10 minutes a day! I want a mount too! Give us casuals a mount!”
Talk about agenda.
And at the same time, catering the the top end has left this game in its current state. lmao
Needs to be a balance on how they make their content. But they need those esports man. They need to find that sweet spot again.
Boy I sure am glad that the official definer for the WoW Casual has finally spoken and laid to rest what a “casual” actually is. We, as a community, have been stuck on this term (among many others) almost 2 decades now.
Pizza places specialize in Pizza. Italian Restaurants Specialize in Italian food.
No Restaurant specializes in every kind of food.
If you go to a nice French restaurant and get angry they don’t have a BLT, that’s on you.
I wish they would give out mounts to all players, just as they used to do with tier sets (different xmogs, stats). Why not differentiate the mounts? And not just colors, why have we not seen mounts with unique stats or powers? For example, I think a mythic raid mount should be 5% - 10% faster than any other mount.
I’m not opposed to a recolor. Not at all. In fact, what used to differentiate gladiator mounts from the rest was the addition to armored aesthetics and in some cases, recolors. But to demand the SAME mount… that’s where I draw the line.
