It's OK to say you enjoy Dragonriding

Continuing the discussion from It's ok to complain about Dragonriding if you don't like it:

This has to be said, the forums are mostly a cesspool of hate and complaints, and yes Blizzard said they will listen to feedback and maybe they will if enough people say they don’t like Dragonriding.

But on the same token if no one says they like it, it’s just a one-sided argument at that point. For all topics of discussion we need people on both sides of the argument to post their thoughts to ensure Blizzard get as much feedback as possible.

Yes many people don’t like the new flying, but many people do and I am really enjoying it, mostly.

For anyone who hates it because they are struggling, go spend the time needed to find all your glyphs, it helps a lot, and then just practice, do the dragon riding achievements, have some fun just flying around.

For those who hate it and not just because you cannot get the hang of it, you are just a sourpuss who cannot be made happy, well yeh not much we can do, tell Blizzard, provide feedback, they may improve it or even in the future provide other types of different flying.

Or maybe even some ground mounts that have special effects and stuff, like imagine the Junkheap Drifter having fast speeds like Dragonriding, press your boost and go fast, go downhill to pickup speed, or just ride it like a normal mount.

There are many opportunities for new types of riding that can be brought in, this is just the beginning. But if you are only ever going to be happy with the old style flying, honestly I think the best we can get is flying from day 1 and why not? Why should people who enjoy Dragonriding only get to benefit from it? And why should it be taken away when many like it? But why should those who hate it not have some benefit from day 1 also?

Why not allow older flying from day 1, it might have some benefits over the new flying, but we can also go 830% and that’s fast, faster even than the max speed an FP goes and that’s not really fair to those who either hate or cannot use the new flying.

It’s just a cycle lol. Once the raid releases, it’ll be about how X is too difficult and Y mechanic isn’t fair to player Z

that thread wasn’t locked or closed, why did you need to start a new one to “continue” the conversation?

you really love reddit don’t you… answer me this please, if you like the game, and are able to talk about it… then why can’t others discuss why they don’t like it? Is that… not allowed in your eyes? Those who are different must be punished and silenced and ridiculed? sounds like a fun cycle you are keepin goin

How? Is it not fair when someone has a higher item level because they put effort into it? Is it not fair during previous expansion when someone has more power then you because they put effort into the borrowed power system? DR is a main new feature like it or not, if you won’t put effort into it prepare to watch others pass right on by.

Dragon riding slaps, it’s everything flying should have been. Not allowing it in every zone going forward would be the dumbest decision in the history of dumb decisions.

Not much else to say really.

I like dragon riding. There, I said it.

I agree with the bald short ugly man. If they put this much time and effort for us to get into something that is actually fun and engaging.

I will really have my doubt if they take it away after all this.

This is the first expansion in TEN YEARS where I’m not hating the start of it. Ten YEARS. WoD-SL was the definition of flying restriction. Dragon riding is a breath of fresh air.

I absolutely love dragon riding. It’s my favorite part of the expansion so far.

If Blizzard guts dragon riding because idiots can’t understand what pitch is then I’m out. Pandering to the literal bottom 0.01% would be disgusting.

This might just be me being casually ableist or something… but I really don’t find DR difficult. I read about people failing the initial intro quests and such… like, how? Are you keyboard turning? I use my mouse to move and change camera angles, so DR is very smooth.

I understand if someone has motionsickness and such, that’s understandably an issue.

But in general, why is this so hard? I think some people dislike the idea of having to drop down really low to get enough speed to then go back up and over an obstacle… kind of like how FPs always take a long winded route. DR in manner forces us to take long winded routes, before we get all the upgrades. I guess that can be kind of annoying.

Regardless, I prefer this over purely grounded until 7 months into the xpac =/ Perhaps I’ve just been so defeated by pathfinder that I’m just settling lol.

I also do this as well. Super smooth for me. I have been swayed to the side of “Eventually let all kinds of flying happen.” I am LOVING Dragon Riding though.

I really enjoy it myself and it only gets better as you upgrade it and get better as you learn how to draft.

the actual cesspool in here is miserables attacking and belittling fellow gamers who are having problems coping with the new feature.
its sick, quite honestly.

that said, I personally love DRing. Having a blast with it since early beta.

I’d really love the option to choose between both but Blizzard would never do that because they know if given the option people would choose old flying all day. Once the novelty wears off and people want to get stuff done DR will get old.

DF has really moved the game in the right direction. I’ve written about all the good points. I do want to point out that I still end up sitting there shaking my head, hoping I don’t end up shutting the game down, because of the unending dialogue in the main story line, and even some side quests.

And it’s not that dialogue is always bad, this dialogue is bad. It’s less mature than Saturday Morning cartoons. It’s toddler level cartoon voice acting. Everything is some “You will not stop my diabolical plans!” –
“Ha! The power of goodness will prevail”. Like who is writing this stuff? It’s beyond shallow. And done in the same voice you’d speak to a toddler. Just stop already.

Why do they insist on this every time? This current iteration of Blizzard has no idea what warcraft humor or satire is. It’s not toddler programming. Make it end. Your target audience is above 30 now.

I LOVE it, I think Blizz did a great job, a cool solution for the people who dont like it is to allow both, but make dragonriding faster, if you want to fly normally, fine, but if you choose dragonriding youll get there faster but with a little bit of work, so then dragonriding wouldnt necessary fall obsolete, but also allow people to afk fly if the want to

i love it!

going forward allow old flying for the people that really want to go afk point to point (but it’s high time to strip herbing-while-mounted from druids and those mechanical mounts)

and please look at implementing our old mounts with this system for those of us who do enjoy it! i wanna see my rockets & gryphons & cloud serpents go ZOOM, especially since i just got the one from nalak like, last week, lol
