Okay maybe it’s too late since they announced it then started selling preorders, and if they change an announced feature that might give people a reason to refund or whatever.
But Earthen should be a customization option for existing dwarves, not an allied race. Well, maybe there’s a lot of allied races that should have just been skin options, but that’s all the more reason we don’t need another one!
And they’re almost certainly going to have another generic +5 profession bonus (jewelcrafting, they’re covered in gems, it couldn’t be more obvious). Blizzard please, if you just make it a skin option for dwarves maybe you can still say we get playable Earthen and have technically not broken any promises. Steer away from this path while we still can! The last thing anyone wants is another glorified reskin with a profession bonus being touted as a new race option.
I really dont care what magical race they add to the roster, since at the end of the day its just going to be a reskin of an already existing race anyways. Im just glad they didnt add yet another flavor of elf and instead a third dwarf race so the horde can be dwarves.
I’m not interested in Earthen,
And the fact that it takes the spot of what could be one of the fan favourite races (when it comes to asking for playable races) makes it worse for me.
We’ve been asking for ogres, sethrak, naga ethereals, jyniu, you name it. So many cool and interesting races, and again blizzard gives us a new “skin” in the form of a new race. I say “again” because that’s what we got with DID, Mechagnome, Lightforged, Hmt Tauren… IMO those should have been just customization options, instead of taking the place of an actual asked for race.
Earthen have always had normal hair. As have the Keepers, some of whom were made out of stone.
No. They are not. And there are several Series of them. At least two that we know of. These Earthen broke off from the rest and the Curse of Flesh didn’t affect them the same way.
Dwarves came from one of the Series of Earthen due to the Curse of Flesh.
