All of which are too problematic to be playable races.
We also just got a new race. Getting another that close wasn’t going to happen.
But if they don’t make the Earthen taller and slightly different in model shape like we saw at Blizzcon, like they talked about, then it’s going to completely fall flat.
Stop with the speaking for everyone posts . I wrote about this before a few weeks ago even if for the benefit of the argument literally 100000 players on the forum say “we hate this thing”
If there’s even 1 million that play and think differently that means the “everyone “ is really 10% of all who play.
I want earthen I think they are cool. And there were others who want them. It’s just negativity travels faster than positivity as IRL. Or another saying “the squeaky wheel gets the oil”.
But this whole thread is pointless because there is no way they are removing earthen.

I’m looking forward to them, a lot actually because it will allow Horde to have Dwarves and since Horde is my preferred faction that’s a big plus, add in a racial as good as stoneform on normal Dwarves and fireblood on Dark Iron Dwarves and they will be a winning race for the Horde.
Don’t Kul’Tirans use the Ogre skeleton already? That should make it relatively easy to implement real ogres. Same with Ethereals just using the Human rig. And hey, with Dracthyr paving the way for flying races, how about Arakkoa? The good ones not the crooked ones. It’s only things like sethek and naga that would require whole new rigs.
No. They do not. It’s a unique rig created for the KT. Ogres are huge and cannot be made playable due to height. And if they made them smaller, they’d just look ridiculous.
Ethereals do not have faces, nor hair, etc. Customization is too limiting. They also absolutely do not use the Human rig.
Customizations, mounts, etc. All are an issue.

I don’t mind them in general but I do wish they’d just add them as a customization option to Dwarfs. It would be better if all of the reskins were handled that way and only races that are truly new were separate.
I am convinced this represents 100% of the people who say they want Earthen
Let these earthen be DHs, druids and evokers and I bet their popularity would shoot up immediately.

Keeping that stony look ties it all together nicely, and I’d love to see them use the gem customizations they showed for hair/beards as well.
This isn’t true. I’m sure as many as ten players want this option, maybe even twelve, with, most likely, around half of them being very excited for the race. It’s only the other one hundred twenty nine million players who aren’t interested in or do not want Earthen dwarves.
Oh, it does look nice. Don’t get me wrong. But I have a feeling it’s more problematic to use that style on player characters than NPCs. But hopefully they’ll figure it out and we get those choices.

Earthen should be able to run through the stealth section of Operation mechagon without triggering any of the bots. Considering they should have no fleshy bits. At least playable Mechagnomes still have fleshy bits to them.
Yeah, they are Dwarves. Otherwise they’d have a different model.
Wish it were Dark Iron personally but meh.
That actually looks pretty cool, ngl. I like the idea of the full carved stone hairstyles for cohesiveness, studded with gems and stuff.
