Personally, I’d argue it is – in the scope of business politics.
People have likely greenlit this decision and pooled in a lot of resources to flesh them out, implement them within the narratives, broaden their involvement & lore etc.
They’re likely going to want to save-face, even on the front-lines of trouble brewing to the overall concepts & reveals of such. I’m not a fan of it, or saying you’re wrong — I’m just venting my view of the situation.

The beta is already out.
Not the alpha, but the beta.
Generally that’s the grounds for “too late” for most things.
Now as for class design, specs, addons, playstyles etc is another matter as those are always evolving, backtracking & moving forward — but as for the Haranir race concept overall? I’d argue that ship has sailed, docked and unloaded.
“We’re too late … This entire city has been infected!” – Arthas.
Blizzard took a huge gastric dump on that whole concept & narrative when they simutainously gave the Alliance both LIGHTforged Draenei — and VOID-Elves, at the same time.
Btw, for the forums on dotpoints to spread them out, as opposed to putting a fullstop between them, if you follow them in an order of - then * you can get them spaced out
You don’t appear to understand the timelines involved in video game production.
It’s not a mess. According to Icy Veins, the most popular allied race (Void Elves) are about 4.5% of the population. People have their preferences on races (And it’s overwhelmingly elves), but aside from some forum noise, they statistically aren’t too fussed about it.
Delaying the launch by months just to please a few people who are blowing it out of proportion and have unrealistic expectations? Now that would be an uproar.
I wouldn’t even mind if the Alliance didn’t get anything and the Horde got the Amani.
It wouldn’t be any different from diaper gnomes, overweight humans or Dwarves 3.0, which already existed twice over in the Alliance.
Doesn’t need a third cheap copy of night elves.
For everyone who says, ‘oh but our poor indie company would completely overextend itself’…
I’d like to remind you how many allied races we got as a package at the start of BfA and how many more followed during BfA.
Now they feed us one discount race per expansion… and people defend it…
For quilboar elves it may unfortunately be too late, but anyone who’s generally satisfied with things like Dwarves 3.0 and Night Elves 3.0… ‘Blizzard shill’ is probably the most fitting term here. You just eat whatever is put in front of you. No matter what it is, without even remotely questioning how lazy the company behind it is.
It absolutely is too late to drastically change the faction setup for an Allied Race, add another Allied race, and completely redo two zones of questing, you’re not changing your order at McDonalds here XD
Just because a manager has 9 women does not mean he’s getting a baby in 1 month.
Yes, they were drumrollISOLATIONIST and didn’t do anything, this is explicitly called out in the questing with numerous Haranir having regrets about that, a schism is brewing in Harandar.
It is, and you have absolutely no concept of work, let alone game design.
You kinda missed the point. Just because they hypothetically could throw millions of dollars at this and hire a whole extra team to appease solely you doesn’t mean it would actually work like you seem to think it can, let alone justifying it.
Gods forbid we get a faction with flaws or that doesn’t want to be the bestest of friends, no they gotta be perfect or you start throwing out insults for having zero media literacy.
To the extent you want? Yeah it is.
Again, no matter how many women you get on board isn’t gonna make the baby come out faster.
And yet you’re having a complete meltdown over them.
“Our traditions kept us from helping while the planet was ravaged and the world trees burned.” This mindset causes a schism among the Haranir who want to actually go and help, it’s not dumb in the slightest.
They didn’t retroactively do anything with the Haranir so not sure why you even brought this up.
Bruh. You are not asking for an extra fry at McDonalds here.
We disagree, and I’m gonna enjoy having furry troll elves on horde.
imagine not just asking for the other race in addition to this one. Not sure why people think it has to be one or the other. You have every right to ask to have a third troll race installed with a fifth elf race. I mean, technically we’re getting a fifth elf with a third orc race as a half-and-half. instead of asking to have something nerfed ask to have other things elevated. Instead of asking to have something removed, ask to have other things added. Quit thinking locally as in you personally and start thinking globally as in what could be more fun for the game as a whole.
Honestly, I thought stuff like diaper gnomes couldn’t be topped… only to be proven wrong by rainbow pimple dwarves. But surely, nothing could beat that… Nelf 3.0 says hello.
Not only is their appearance embarrassing, their lore really tops all the nonsense in this game.
I agree with pretty much everything you said but I think you are missing the point that the Temu Avatars are supposed to be replacing NE’s. Blizz maybe realizes how badly they screwed up NE lore and are just straight up replacing them in the game with this new fanfic race so they can be “elf” druids on the Horde now.
As a NE fan part of me is actually okay with this. Now they can ruin the Haranaarererersrs anytime they need a “nature elf” for the story instead of continuing to rip the little fragments of NE lore that still exist to shreds.
The rest of me just laughs at how blatantly they are ripping off all the NE lore they trashed and are now trying to repackage in a Horde wrapper.
