It's not a spoiler, it's not a spoiler: blizz is already thinking about the next expansion

I clarify for those who do not understand it is not a spoiler or speculation or leak, there are already rumors that blizz stopped thinking about dragonflight is already thinking about the next expansion just some ideas that are running around example Avalon new continent are only rumors but they also say that there will be no more villains another thing that is rumored is that they are thinking about the vrykuls where they come from what they think it will be true the rumors of blizz is already thinking about the next expansion without even starting dragonflight

If it isn’t a leak then it is speculation. Your Youtube videos prove nothing.

how is any of this new or worth a thread? They have said years ago they work 2-3 expansions ahead. This “new era” was told to us at the end of BFA that its the end of the WC3 stuff.

This is one of the most confusing post I have ever read. Needs editing and more clarity.

I think what you are trying to say is:

Blizzard are thinking ahead about the next expansion. Yes, this is accurate. Expansions take more than 2 years to create, the next expansion was probably already thought out theme-wise before we even knew what DF was.

Blizzard are no longer in the conceptual phase for DF and have moved on to producing the next expansion. Also, probably true. They now are on a 2 year clock to get the next expansion out. DF is likely story-wise already fleshed out and only needs to be developed/tuned as they go. It is likely the zones for patch .1 .2 are already in development stages.

they’re a large company. they can be working on multiple projects simultaneously. in fact, that’s how it works!

Looks like someone discovered the online thesaurus but forgot to take the definitions to heart.

Well let’s look at some history shall we…
This is more than likely just rumor to begin with.

Secondly, they admitted to working on Dragonflight a couple years before Shadowlands.

Third, if they are working on something new shouldn’t be surprised is the nature of the beast, they work on more than one project at any given time.

It’s like OP had a eureka moment and all it was is known information about how continual development cycles work. It would be insane if they were only working on the current expansion and not the next one in advance.

The team 1 and team 2 theory exists for a reason. Team 1 develops this expansion and continues into the life span, team 2 is working on the next, then they flip. This is not an uncommon thing in games-as-a-service archetypes.

It’s fairly normal for them to be working on the next expansion already on some level – theme surely has to be at the top.

If it is true that we are finally going to be able to play with a vrykul and it makes me sad that the wow community no longer wants villains with whom we are going to fight
Edit: I like the idea of a Nordic continent

We’ve known this since I think Warlords of Draenor was announced, or somewhere around that time-frame.

  1. Game companies worth their salt (and Blizz qualifies, whatever detractors say) will always be thinking ahead.
  2. Thinking ahead doesn’t mean they completely abandon their current expansion, or the one they’re about to release. A quick search reveals there’s about 9,800 employees at Activision Blizzard, and while not all of them are tasked with WoW, I’m sure they’ve got at least one or two working on it.
  3. People can walk and chew bubblegum at the same time.
  4. Rumors are, by definition, speculative.

They plan expansions years in advance and have a team working on the next one nearly as soon as one launches. This is just their basic structure.

But they already threw cards to play it seems and I still like the idea of the vrykuls

Yeah. As this WoWhead article points out, the first DF items started showing up in WoW code on April 13th, 2021…a year and half ago. And I’m sure that there was a lot of planning that occurred before they reached that point.

It’s par for the course for Bulkano. All of their posts are like this - random video links along with barely legible ramblings.

Two quick things, first NO ONE at Blizzard is thinking about the DF? I’ve been through software releases and if NO ONE is thinking about DF it will never getup and running on their servers. A software release is a major effort for the development and release teams.

The other big thing, why would anyone ever believe anything that comes from Bueller the Lord and King of rage bait? Think about it, this guy draws millions of rage clicks and he does it without all the funny faces that Asmongold makes.
