Opinions. We all have them. They’re subjective and sometimes all we have to offer. Then, there are facts, backed with verified and respected data and sourcing. A “citation”, if you will. So, out of curiosity, when you respond in a thread, do you offer your opinion, do you offer facts, do you offer both, or are you the one who believes their opinion to always be fact?
I provide opinions, rationale, and occasionally anecdotes based on personal experience.
And lots of sarcasm, especially when dealing with self-absorbed dramatics who take the game and themselves too seriously.
If it’s not obvious and there’s no citation, it’s an opinion. Even if it is obvious, the amount of clueless forum inhabitants often suggests a citation should be given even when it shouldn’t be needed.
Low interest rates and donuts.
This and if it’s an opinion I always, or I try to always, say “I think”, “I feel” or “I believe.” If I don’t, it’s just because I forgot. If I state something as a fact, I more often than not look it up first. If I don’t, I’m going off a memory I trust.
Depends the conservation and topic.
All dependent, arguing an opinion is mostly pointless but I’ll provide counter stuff if there is a claim made in place of an opinion. However people who argue over pancakes and waffles are both wrong, they are just factually wrong for those opinions.
that’s probably one of the funnier arguments lol the only difference between a waffle and a pancake is the shape.
No, one can be a bit crispy and one is fluffy.
Please note there was no “I think” there.
or maybe the waffle is a bit fluffy and the pancake is a bit crispy because they’re both made from the same materials and can be cooked on similar types of metal and could be cooked to the same temperature lol that’s why I say I love this argument. it’s like asking. What’s the difference between an apple and applesauce nothing. One gets smashed that’s it.
Waffles are pancakes with abs.
But French Toast is better than both.
but French toast is neither a pancake or a waffle because it lives in its own world. And while it may use similar ingredients, those ingredients are fashioned in a completely different format.
Of course french toast is neither.
That is why its better.
it’s probably superior for a lot of people. However, I think at the end of the day I would probably lean into waffles more simply because I have little pockets for butter and syrup and it doesn’t have to end up all over the plate.
Its ok for people to like the lesser items as long as they acknowledge the superiority of french toast.
This is the second time I’ve seen you say this.
And I still find it odd.
If I said it twice that would be even.
French Toast has cinnamon. Gross.
Cinnamon is optional.
(and amazing)
I would like notate that anything I am saying on this topic is not an opinion.
