“it’s just pre patch”… is what you hear. It’s a cop out; it’s lame.
Routinely getting hit for a 1/3rd of hp from non crits is no fun. And this is how it is every xpac, melee and hunter burst is crazy and it doesn’t change much when everyone hit’s max level. “Scaling” fixes after a major patch or 2…
People said it at the start of bfa prepatch also, bfa was one of the most balanced games with constant tuning all the time to make sure we didn’t have issues.
You have to remember we’re also like 6 raid tiers into BFA. Shadowlands we’ll be back at square one, where everyone has like 10% haste and barely any other stats
The end of expansions always have severe stat inflation
It always makes me laugh when people say how much better things will be in the future or that we should be grateful for a mediocre product.
I don’t expect perfection but when something is released by a major corporation you’d assume that it isn’t chock full of bugs or so imballanced that people want to pull their hair out.
It’s not “it’s just pre-patch”. It’s “it’s the pre-patch”. The reality is that pre-patches are an eclectic mix of systems from two different expansions. Trying to balance the two patches together would require manpower, and all the manpower right now is more than likely behind trying to release the expansion on the week of Thanksgiving. Even and especially if you don’t believe Shadowlands will be balanced, what good do you think will come out of them wasting manpower to balance the game around mechanics and levels that will be irrelevant in 4 days?
