How long would people play the game if they could /dance for gear?
Meanwhile, look at the engagement for M+ and how it has driven retention.
Imagine being this wrong, lol.

i wonder if thereâs any mythic raiders out there, who donât do mythic +(lol unicorn probably not), theyâd prob have the best opinion on this
No, you donât get any loot unless you kill the boss. Thatâs exactly how raids work.
And loot isnât the reason M+ is so popular. Itâs because you donât need to plan 3 hour sessions twice a week and organize 20 people to do it. A lot of players no longer have the time to devote to raiding that they used to. Are you really saying it would be better to lose those players just to make raiders feel special?
They donât. They claim they hate M+ but most of them secretly like it, theyâre just mad that their âprestigeâ is slightly diminished.
I mean, if Max, the hardcore-hardcore Mythic Raider guy who lives for raiding enjoys M+, itâs pretty obvious people enjoy M+ across the spectrum. Itâs just forum posturing. M+ is the best thing this game has pretty much ever done, short of letting players solo level back in Vanilla.
You wouldnt believe how many players my team had to force to do a weekly key when i was raiding M uldir/BoDâŚ
People like easier things for their rewards. A vendor that let you dance with them for the best gear in the game would massively increase player retention and subscriptions. People have absolutely no concern for rewards meaning anything, they just want them.
Imagine being this wrong, lol.
It would not. They would get their gear, and then quit.
Kekw.
Thereâs no way that gear is the reason why m+ is so popular, bruh.
Itâs on-demand PvE content that can be as chill or as difficult as you want it to be with only 5 people.
This thread is about how M+ destroys normal/heroic raiding, not mythic raiding.
Sick of hearing this FOTM forum warrior meme word.
You can enjoy M+ and not have to be rewarded with ridiculously inflated ilvl loot for failure.
Ok, so thereâs no problem lowering the ilvl right? Cause itâs not about the lootâŚ
The whole point of M+ is to time the key. You fail that, but still finish, you get awarded with extra inflated ilvl loot.
In a raid, even when you complete it, you still get just standard ilvl, no inflation or anything. And if you arenât good enough to kill a boss, you get NOTHINg. Not good enough to time a M+ key? Thatâs ok, you get mythic raid ilvl loot anyway!
That would only disadvantage people who like both content depending on how the +item level in X content is scaled
Leaves less options for customising stats
And makes those folk basically farm 2 sets of gear
Personally idc, I only M+,
Only the mediocre heroic raiders are upset about M+ loot
I havenât actually watched the interview, but if Wowheadâs summary is accurate Ion didnât say that at all.
Canât yâall just do keys because you want to do keys?
Mythic+ is actually awesome though. Itâs just in a weird spot where itâs massively over rewarding on the low and and yet not rewarding enough at the very high end.
Easy fix. Put a stat on Raid gear that makes it useless in all content except for raiding, but make raiding require it. Raiding guilds will finally get that old school progression feel back that they come here and claim to want, and the rest of WoW can be rid of their whining.
Easier fix. Remove inflated ilvl loot from M+. Require a timed key to be eligible for GV loot. Scale the ilvl from m+ higher than 15, but reduce it across the board so that heroic ilvl loot is awarded from something around m18, and mythic loot around M25.
I do do keys, and I want to continue to be able to do keys.
But apparently I have to come to these forums every so often because raiders keep whining about M+ gear when its already a %%%%ing joke. M+ gear is DOG-%%%% and yet we still have cringe complaint threads, itâs actually insane to me.
It isnât fair if M+ loot isnât as high of an ilvl as raid loot.
But also it isnât about the loot, we just like M+.
But also raiders are just trying to gatekeep ilvl.
But also ilvl doesnât matter.
The cognitive dissonance is palpable.
There is literally no reason to raid N/H if you want gear aside from select couple pieces, obviously a problem. We can at least all agree on this right?
Lying doesnât really help your cause.
So, basically, you donât want raid-progression to be kept within raiding, youâre just an AoTC player who thinks your content is hard (it is not), and want higher rewards? Got it. lol
u do a lot of m+?
