He lost them last year after his Youtube comments stating his disdain for being around women (or something of that sort, can’t remember exactly). His posts became white shortly after and he made a video afterwards that mentioned the removal.
Thank you for all the work you’ve done in the community! We need every bit of help and positive spirit here in the forums we can find. See you in Dragon Isles, friend! <3
Can I have your sword, your bow, and your axe?
Not to derail the initial intention of your thread, but this right here is why I firmly believe the community council is a bad idea.
If the goal is to both channel and encourage good feedback, the CC program seems to do the exact opposite. WoW has effectively created an “upper class” group of commentors that supersedes even the MVP program. And it is this class that the devs almost exclusively engage with and talk about.
When GD posters have to think twice about providing feedback because there’s no indication that it will ever be read by a human, that’s a problem. When average players can only watch discussions happen like fish in a goldfish bowl without having any legitimate means of communication with the parties involved, that’s a problem. When the existence of the CC program itself exists only as a means for dev self-congratulation as they claim they are “listening to feedback” without tangible results, that’s a problem. And when actual MVPs are quitting because even they feel like they cannot effect change in meaningful ways, that’s a real big problem.
You always seemed like a good faith poster. I’m sorry you feel like your time was wasted trying to bring certain issues to light.
Ohhhh! Axe. I thought you said something else.
Yes.
Both systems have failed. The only thing I have found, as mentioned by Humanbeak, is the inflation of some egos because of inclusion in a clique with colored text.
It defeats the whole purpose of the original intent.
Thank you, and have fun.
Kind of feel bad you lost faith but you got to do what you feel is right
Not to mention the weird dyamics the system causes.
Like, are we supposed to harass CC posters with our ideas for topics whenever we see them post in unrelated threads now? Because I’m sure that’s exactly what happens when a CC members posts in GD. Which is why you rarely see them post in GD.
You were my favorite MVP since MVP’s were a thing.
This is kinda sad.
What’s a mvp?
Metro’s Vitriolic Posts.
Said it before, will say it again, the Council was not well thought out, and seemed like a last minute conceived afterthought.
It inevitably ended up lopsided and unbalanced and one only has to look in a thread like the one about returning abilities for talent trees to see that some members are overly vocal whereas representatives for others are very much silent (note for instance not all of the classes are present in the talent thread).
And from the start it was VERY clear who was joining was not really considered, seeing as we had a good handful booted and replaced before a month was even out…
Just another echo chamber folks… anything to keep the status quo I hate to say.
By this point they’re basically Professor Calamitous from Jimmy Neutron, the scene where he states he can’t finish anything and it cuts to a half eaten donut…
One of the more agreeable green-texts, from what I remember.
Some others I really am not a fan of.
Don’t worry too much, Byuck. If you play your cards right, you too can ascend to the God-like status of Trust Level 4. At this level, I have power over the entire forum software and database.
TL4 sounds worse than MVP.
Hey man thanks for being supportive and taking on the role despite there being no pay involved, that’s friggin dedication. Here’s to hoping Drac’thyr don’t release looking like cheap furry smut! <3
Have you though? Blizzard is listening now more than ever to feedback, and I think that’s at least due in part to positive feedback/criticism. I don’t know what all that green text business is about, but I do know there has to be more level headed people on the forums, so give it a second thought.
Your efforts were appreciated and I’m sad to see ya go.
B, NUUUUUU!
I’m gonna miss your green text.
Hey, that’s not your job. But you tried and that’s what matters.
Luv ya, B.
Also: mail me in game if you want and I’ll give you my Discord info so we can chat if you feel like it.
