As of today I have decided that I am leaving the World of Warcraft MVP program. I appreciate the support of those in the community I had gotten the chance to know and appreciate all the fun times.
With that said, it was always my intention as an MVP to shine a light on the lesser issues and desires of the community. Everyone always talks about class balance, raids, dungeons, etc. The spotlight of attention is always on those topics which is why I always laughed when someone would make a fuss that I showed attention to things that never got attention. The number of replies I have gotten in my time of an MVP of players going “X isn’t important, way for an MVP to waste time on X instead of important issues like my class balance!” always made me chuckle. I digress though.
I tried, and failed, however to bring attention to the smaller more aesthetic threads and posts. For that, I apologize and regret that I couldn’t do more in this position.
With that said, here is hoping the community council will bring great things. Admittedly I know little about it but hey, Ion acknowledged the community council in an interview at least haha.
Anyway, thank you all for the experience and the chance to be an MVP among you all and I hope to see you all in the Dragon Isles.

You seem rather swell. I feel you. I’ve had many over the years tell me to stream but I don’t wanna deal with the nasty humans.

Thank you for the kind words, I appreciate it. And yeah, I feel that about streaming too, but you shouldn’t let the bad people stop you from doing what you enjoy.

You have your fellow (and former) colleagues to thank for putting a stain on green text. Metro was the worst and really put a mark on you guys.
But even with his MVP privs getting yanked it wasn’t enough. Many MVPers talk on a holier-than-thou podium and engage in all forms of cherrypicking to suit their narrative, and at least one of them is now orange text and the same thing is happening to orange now. It became quite sad when it got to the point of putting orange text on my ignore list.
Not saying this was you at all; in fact, I barely recall your name (which is a good thing). Just some general peon perspective on why MVPers get so much flack.
