Bruto shows up every couple of weeks after SL drops
8 months later
“Oh uh, we’re also going to put it in crates! We’re totally not going to remove it from the rotation at all”
one year later
zzzzz
We have filed countless bug reports about this. A ticket last month inquiring about whether any bug reports were confirmed/being worked yielded this response:
So we have two possibilities right now:
Bruto spawn rate is bugged and bug reports filed over the past year have been completely ignored
Bruto is “working as intended” and Blizz nuked the living crap out of its spawn rate in the rotation
Guess what? Both of these possibilities are horrendous considering we were told the Bruto would still be obtainable in BMAH after SL dropped, which, in fact it was for a half a year, but since then? Crickets. Crickets everywhere.
To get ahead of a couple of rebuttals:
“Oh but it showed up on two EU realms in the past year! It’s not bugged!” - Cool, means nothing to NA players.
“It’s in the crate!” - Are you sure? Has anyone taken a screengrab of it dropping from a crate, let alone actually saw it drop?
Blizzard, fix this! Fix the rotation or put it back on the vendor for gold cap or do something so it’s actually obtainable like you said it would be.
Agree. Tired of the bs. put it in the vendor. its already a steep price with the 5 mil. Do us all a favor and just do it because yall can’t mediate anything.
Assuming EU and NA are both playing the same game, I don’t think this should be so easily dismissed. The implication here is that EU code is somehow different from NA code? Would there be any other instances of this, and why would there be?
no other instances that i know of, but blizz have long claimed they can’t transfer characters across regions because differences do exist. I wrote an email in cata begging them to at least let me copy my US account details to the EU (where I actually live) and some CS rep apologetically wrote back that it was impossible because the clients are different, lol.
The implication is that is how shown up on only two realms in the entire world for the past full year. And it may actually be only one - I’ve only seen 1 confirmed, but someone made mention a couple weeks ago it showed up again at some point (no proof though). In reality it’s probably only shown up once but I’m being safe.
This concern of theirs would’ve been a bit more warranted if they weren’t intending on curbing inflation. We aren’t in a wod/legion period of everybody generating 100k a day almost passively, so I’m not sure why they’d worried about the mount becoming devalued in the near future.
If Devs only bring Ordos back as Worldboss for everyon and remove his loot table from the BMAH, maybe we could get a better rotation among the pool of items.
Video game economics seem finicky. Like, too much income and everything gets all inflated, and people who didn’t play during this period have no currency, then there’s the deflationary periods like early bfa where people couldn’t even afford consumables because there was no passive income.
It kind of fries me that they put random Ordos necklaces on the BMAH, lmao
Everyday that i check there’s almost 1 item from Ordos which isn’t a good tmog, a lot of players can get those via Ordos and Devs added a necklace that doesn’t fit any purpose.
I’m considering if perhaps the so-called ‘spawn rate’ for BMAH items takes the starting bid into account somehow. Since the Brutosaur starts at 5 million, which is (I think) far higher than anything else on the list, this would also give it the lowest chance of appearing if the starting bid is actually a factor. Would also mean that it’s technically ‘working as intended’, even if it results in very few appearances.
Bruto spawn rate was a non-issue prior to the July 2021 “add it to the crate hotfix”. It consistently showed up on at least one realm every couple of weeks.
Yeah I don’t think Ordos has a unique appearance anymore.
There used to be a shaman-only hat model that Hunters could use but they made it so the Shaman’s Grievous Gladiator Ringmail helm gives Hunters access to this appearance.
