Correct. And the neck irks me too. Don’t forget craftable glasses (Rhinestone sunglasses) is still on the BMAH, and at 500k to boot.
P.S. for any doubters about Bruto not showing up - here’s the Wowhead comment section:

I’m just unsure as to why anybody cares about the ordon sanctuary for anything other than farming rep.
Could’ve been a case of them fudging the numbers initially, then silently ‘fixing’ it at the time they got added to the crates.
In any case, I don’t think it’s a stretch to suggest that not everything on the BMAH list has an equal chance of appearing on a given day. Some stuff is seen a lot more commonly than other stuff. What’s unknown honestly isn’t necessarily whether or not something’s bugged, but just what the ‘spawn rate’ actually is for the BMAH’s list.
That’s not really a stretch, but what would be a stretch is saying that it’s A-OK that the Bruto has only showed up on one, maybe two, realms’ BMAH in the entire world for the past year.
It’s not a bug. They don’t want people having it because it was being abused by Auction House bots.
Bring it back and lower the price to 100k
If that’s what you took away from this thread, then I can only suggest you start charging me rent for living in your mind.
Uh, what? Bots don’t need Brutos to trash the AH. Why would you think bots would spend the gold to buy a Bruto on an account that’s going to get banned anyways?
This is an actual problem that people have been complaining about for over a year.
Because they can park it next to an obscure mailbox in areas no one visits and have very little chances of actually being reported.
That’s the thing though. Maybe it is, as far as Blizzard’s concerned? After all, they did attempt to justify the Bruto’s removal (from the vendor) in the first place by arguing that they didn’t want it to be too ‘common’.
But assuming whatever spawn mechanics they have in place for the BMAH are now working correctly, they aren’t necessarily lying or ignoring any bug reports that get sent in, are they? At that point, it’d be more a case of attempting to convince them to change the spawn rate, not necessarily fixing any supposed bug.
You’re not making sense.
You’re telling me botters would rather spend 5mil gold to buy a mount on an account that is likely to get banned, than just RMT that 5mil gold? And that botters would be fine doing this over and over again?
Are you suggesting Garrison AH’s should be removed too?
They could do the same thing in Area 52 or Silvermoon City. There are a lot of empty AHs out there.
This too. I believe it’s really cheap to build an AH in your garrison now. Much cheaper than buying a Longboi back then.
Yes, booty bay used to be a hotspot at one point.
Yes, I am making sense. I’d think someone who constantly brags about all the gold they make would easily be able to understand how easily abused the brutosaur is, assuming you aren’t just feigning ignorance.
Those are still static locations that people check in on.
Well, like it’s been pointed out, the best place to hide is your garrison.
I don’t think the Bruto can be ‘easily abused’ simply because it cost 5 million gold to get one when it was available from the vendor, and now would cost even more than that to get from the BMAH. Having the portable AH is convenient, sure, but the AH itself is in no way exclusive to the mount so there isn’t really any unique ‘abuse’ associated with it. I think that’s the point that people are calling you out on, especially when considering the garrison that’s already been mentioned, which is totally instanced and a heck of a lot easier to acquire.
Still a static location Blizzard checks in on if there’s suspected AH botting. The ratio of characters who have garrisons is small and even less with the patience required for the setup of an AH for it.
Seriously when the banwave of AH bots happened earlier this year the one commonality was the Brutosaur.
Not to mention the logic they’re clinging to is the same as “ban druids because bots use them”.
So THAT’S why I could never get one, lol. I always thought I kept going to the wrong rep vendor all these years and just hadn’t unlocked something, ha.
Oh well.
