It's becoming increasingly apparent why this game is dying

Disclamer: I am happy playing TBC as it is.
Now that’s out of the way.

I think Asmondgold said it better himself… To paraphrase, he was saying a well made version of classic wow would remove the “annoyances” of the game to focus on the gameplay and fun. OBVIOUSLY we aren’t the same type of players, so what is annoying to some might be bearable or even OK to others.

It’s a mix of QoL and gameplay core changes that would be required. In this thread, it was already mentioned to remove attunements and reputation requirements for dungeons, Dual-Spec was mentioned too… And this is the type of thing that annoys players.

For me, having my main be exalted with a faction only to have the goods from it’s vendor be BoP is an insult; It should be BoA instead. Also instead of being forced to roll 4-5 mules to master all craft, you should be able to have them all on the same character (or spend RL money to purchase an “Additional skill slot”). To me that would be worth more than a boost as I hate muling and would be open to a solution.

Empty servers / emptying servers / guild members quitting. Now unless they make a mega server with cross-realm like later iteration of the game then there’s not much we can do… But expecting us players to cough up money for the server infrastructure guy’s lack of foresight is a crappy move. Honestly, there’s many servers that could be all fused together, and if they implement the D2R name thing you wont need to add those french/german letters to a name. You wont lose it even if somebody else has it. They’d have to link their in0game character names to the BNET tag.

Also gating content is annoying. Dailies are annoying but there arent too much of these in TBC. PPL say that it helps casuals keep up with hardcore players. This is not entirely correct. I am a casual, and normally I can play 8h on week ends. That’s it. Which means I get to run 2 days of dailies in 7 days, how’s that for catching up? That turns me off off the game. Let me spend my time how I see fit. Also stop releasing the game in phases, let us have the final version of TBC and be done with it. If I could do the Netherdrake quests while waiting for a dungeon run or to spread my attention around, the more the better.

Some ppl argued they’d burn out on endgame content then still quit… 100% player issue, this has nothing to do with you as another player or with Blizzard. Let them do it and quit if this is all they wanna do, more room for the rest of us (especially if we end-up on one mega-server eventually).

They just need to remove the annoyances and reasonable ppl will stay.
I’ll say this tho: I wouldn’t want them to mess with the leveling curve of TBC. I couldn’t stand how that was utterly messed up from cata onwards… maybe even late Wrath but I can’t remember. The reason many of us enjoy classic-style is for the journey. Other could buy more boosts, as long as Blizzy bans the bots…

Looks like I’m rambling again… I guess I’ll stop, lol.
