Asked for BC and got boosts, dead servers, HVH, layers, queues* at least be honest
i dont even know how to respond to this lol
but i guess raid logs that do not take into account alts are the be all end all

So I thought people only raid logged this expansion, but there are 60k less? You can respond with the truth - “i ponied you $25 to daddy Bobby and now I am trying to protect my investment”
And you’re right, alts aren’t taken into account, so there could be even less active players
What server did you transfer to grob from? Be honest
grobbulus is active af, not sure why i would need to “protect my investment” - i already got a good return, left a dead server and play on an active one where i can barely keep up with trade or LFG chat, its $25 you goofball why do i care? im glad i ponied up so i can just play the game instead of crying about it on a dead server and forums, youre not a martyr for playing on a dead server and blaming blizzard lol
So, the OP can’t pvp because respecing costs gold?
Farm some gold. That’s something you can log in for. Specing back and forth each week is 100g. Skyguard/Ogrila dailies net ~75g per day in about 30 minutes.
Problem solved.
To be honest, I’m not sure how you are affording the 300g per week you claim it costs to raid if you are only raid logging. Unless you are doing gdkp, raiding doesn’t provide 300g per week
I love the all or nothing posts.
Will dual spec alone save the game? Nope.
Will it help substantially, absolutely.
How did I know you were a transfer monkey
“I chipped into the yaught fund with my $25, why won’t you guys!?!? Bobby really is a nice guy!”
Calling out fundamental issues and accurate trends in player attrition is not being a goofball you wank stain. Dumb asses like you are why problems get perpetuated
Enjoy paying $25 to constantly swap servers on a dead game. Maybe you can enjoy your time on a RP server by dressing up as a little school girl for Bobby until you server swap again
Disclamer: I am happy playing TBC as it is.
Now that’s out of the way.
I think Asmondgold said it better himself… To paraphrase, he was saying a well made version of classic wow would remove the “annoyances” of the game to focus on the gameplay and fun. OBVIOUSLY we aren’t the same type of players, so what is annoying to some might be bearable or even OK to others.
It’s a mix of QoL and gameplay core changes that would be required. In this thread, it was already mentioned to remove attunements and reputation requirements for dungeons, Dual-Spec was mentioned too… And this is the type of thing that annoys players.
For me, having my main be exalted with a faction only to have the goods from it’s vendor be BoP is an insult; It should be BoA instead. Also instead of being forced to roll 4-5 mules to master all craft, you should be able to have them all on the same character (or spend RL money to purchase an “Additional skill slot”). To me that would be worth more than a boost as I hate muling and would be open to a solution.
Empty servers / emptying servers / guild members quitting. Now unless they make a mega server with cross-realm like later iteration of the game then there’s not much we can do… But expecting us players to cough up money for the server infrastructure guy’s lack of foresight is a crappy move. Honestly, there’s many servers that could be all fused together, and if they implement the D2R name thing you wont need to add those french/german letters to a name. You wont lose it even if somebody else has it. They’d have to link their in0game character names to the BNET tag.
Also gating content is annoying. Dailies are annoying but there arent too much of these in TBC. PPL say that it helps casuals keep up with hardcore players. This is not entirely correct. I am a casual, and normally I can play 8h on week ends. That’s it. Which means I get to run 2 days of dailies in 7 days, how’s that for catching up? That turns me off off the game. Let me spend my time how I see fit. Also stop releasing the game in phases, let us have the final version of TBC and be done with it. If I could do the Netherdrake quests while waiting for a dungeon run or to spread my attention around, the more the better.
Some ppl argued they’d burn out on endgame content then still quit… 100% player issue, this has nothing to do with you as another player or with Blizzard. Let them do it and quit if this is all they wanna do, more room for the rest of us (especially if we end-up on one mega-server eventually).
They just need to remove the annoyances and reasonable ppl will stay.
I’ll say this tho: I wouldn’t want them to mess with the leveling curve of TBC. I couldn’t stand how that was utterly messed up from cata onwards… maybe even late Wrath but I can’t remember. The reason many of us enjoy classic-style is for the journey. Other could buy more boosts, as long as Blizzy bans the bots…
Looks like I’m rambling again… I guess I’ll stop, lol.
No they don’t. Merging the servers already solves the problem. Accessibility is what ruined retail, do not try to ruin classic too.
You’re right about factor 1 and a little bit of the other factors, but your overall accuracy greatly diminishes the further down the list you go.
MOST people are playing alts. It’s not uncommon for people to raid on 2-3 characters and even be in separate guilds.
Guilds are imploding because the fights are pre nerf. Most of those guilds also have incompetent leadership and there overall member quality is at the novice level. They’re used to things being super easy from classic, and that’s no longer the case.
Merging servers won’t stop attrition rates. Players will still run into the same problems if they did have servers merged. Merging servers simply doesn’t tackle any of the reasons why people are quitting the game.
i wish you could come up with something better than the overused “your contributing to bobby yacht” blah blah…very original. I never said i would do it constantly, but hey, erect that strawman my dude - not everything is a blizzard issue.
Raid logging has always been around, not fundamental; you knew exactly what content was going to be available and what was necessary to be able to participate in said content, not fundamental; we knew the class meta going in; not fundamental. The fundamental issue is botting - server population is also big but it’s a mostly player created issue, and guess what it can be solved with a measly $25. If you want to play the game there are options, if you want to act a victim please keep posting.
What is your raid schedule? I drop 400-500g a week on consumables and 100g every week respeccing.
I’m not broke, I farm my gold, and then go play the game. If gold is an issue, then unlike real life, actually just stop being poor. This game literally generates gold for you, you just have to go get it.
Yes, this has always happened in wow. People quit the game. Shocker. Guilds will either overcome it, or, disband and those members will then fill the guilds that didn’t disband.
It’s the cycle of guilds.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
Oh gee golly that’s rich. While I don’t like attunements, they aren’t making players quit. Reputation is not hard to get, kara has no attunement, gruul has no attunement, and mag has no attunement. SSC is literally to just kill Nightbane and Gruul, and TK is a good little quest chain that ends with killing mag.
It’s play the game to play the game.
Man that’s crazy. With only 25 raid slots, 5-7 healers are needed, 3 tanks, pref one as a druid for flex, you have limited dps slots. If a raid is min maxxing, you got 1-3 of each class. There should be just as many rogues as there are moonkins, spriests, and rets. It’s crazy how all the raid slots are limited.
Sounds like cope to me.
Eh sure for some, but I also know a good handful of people who prefer dead servers and smaller communities. Honestly just give out free transfers. This way, those who want to leave, can, and those who don’t want to leave aren’t forced out.
All I read when I read this is that you were late on attunements and aren’t having a great time playing catch up.
All he needs is to cry for dual spec and he would be the god of the entitled whiners!
You are totally right, and they are not changing it.
If only.
Worked for those that wanted faster horde queue times so they gave us same-faction BGs; but PvE-wise we both know they wont do anything to upend the raiders/elitists precious PvE.
Nice dude, you’re making $0.67 cents per hour!
Solve all these issues by playing retail, bye dude.
too long to read, i made a tons of friends and enjoying the game twice a week while i play retail. compared to netflix sub still a better deal
It sounds like OP joined late, never played vanilla so he didn’t have a guild, picked rogue without doing any research, made 0 friends and made no effort to join a guild before it was time to get ready to raid, and is now crying to blizzard.
All these people playing Classic and BC content…but they complain about the attunment requirements.
I wonder if they realize that’s exactly how the game was back then?
Y’all begged for Classic servers. They’re giving you Classic gameplay.
