Item Restore Page Still Has Not Regained the Ability to Search for Items

It’s been almost 2 years that the item restore page has had it’s ability to search for destroyed/scraped/sold items. When will this be fixed?

Right now I’ve lost the Mythic Fel Lord Zakuun Axe and i’m having a GM tell me that “If the item isn’t listed in your Item Restoration page, it’s meant to be unrestorable.” "Customer Service won’t restore the item, or reset the quest if it was a quest reward. I know that’s rough - but that’s at our Dev crew’s request. "

I can not fathom that a weapon is marked as unrecoverable.

Logs only go so far if it was deleted months to years ago its more then likely gone GMS have the same list that we do if its not there then they cant prove that you had it.

No brainer.

The item in question has been missing for less than 1-2 weeks to my knowledge. They have that data and don’t share it with me.

The issue is that the search bar is still missing. If it was not missing then I could see for myself that the item is infact not in the list rather than wading thought the list of thousands of items since 03/xx/2020 for a seccond time in case i missed it.

Unfortunately, the Customer Support Forum really isn’t the best place to report this. We here can just tell you what is and provide tips or workarounds (especially since we’re only players except for the blue posters). The devs don’t come here for feedback or bug reports.

Your best bet would be to post it on the Website Bug Report forum. It’s probably a known issue that they just haven’t been able to get around to yet, but it’s never safe to assume that - more bug reports is always a good thing!

Think they would have a problem with me cross posting?

I can’t see why they would have a problem.

I forgot to call out that they still won’t be able to get your item back. Until it’s fixed or changed, you still need to wade through the thousands of items.

Edit: someday I dream of a day where I don’t have 3 typos per post…

Posted it there, thanks for the info.

Yep, i plan too. Sucks that it takes 5-8s per page to load.

I dislike how dismissive and pre-scripted GMs are these days. It seems they just have a “If -> Then” excel sheet and don’t look into anything with any meaning unless you grill them for it.

They’re not intentionally dismissive, I promise you! It’s just hard to convey tone via text, and if one is already frustrated, a denial can come across as dismissive.

…speaking from personal experience before cough.

Fixed is a bit of a misnomer, as it is not currently considered broken. The option is not available due to how the system currently works, or has to work, in order for the Item Restoration page to function. As I said in the thread that you linked, it is a technical limitation. The search function is certainly something our Devs would like to see brought back, but it isn’t a small or insignificant challenge.

As for the item, it is not currently in your deleted inventory. That usually means one of three things. It has been purged from your deleted inventory and is no longer recoverable, it is in your inventory somewhere that you simply missed or you put it in your Void Storage.

In you case, you might want to look in your Void Storage, you have two Hellrenders in there.

Feel free to close out your ticket.

Thank you for your clarity and input.

The two Helrenders that are in Void Storage are Normal and Heroic Versions; the missing one in question is the Mythic version.

I guess there are two outcomes that could have happen and will have to accept; either I deleted it so long ago and did not look for it in that time frame from then to now, causing the deleted inventory log purged it. Or the deleted inventory log is prematurely deleting items.

To err is human, but so it is for software.

Thanks for the help; hope y’all stay well in these trying days.
