Item Restore Not Working

Alrighty - got an update on the item restorations not showing up, it’s been identified, but the ā€˜fix’ is going to take a bit.

One thing you can do to help it along, is log in - and out, a lot.

Yes, I know that’s painful - and this should eventually resolve on it’s own if you do not wish to do that, but at the moment, that is the only thing we can really suggest to help.

If it’s a really important or special item, you could put in a ticket - but there is still a chance we may not be able to assist. Depends on the state it is in.

We do appreciate your patience while this gets ironed out.

So logging out does nothing for me but I did find a fix myself

Step 1. Buy a stack of water and divide it into singles
Step 2. Open the item recovery window in another tab
Step 3. Back to wow, vendor one water and log out
Step 4. Tab into recovery window and hit refresh(should see at least 1 new item)
REPEAT UNTIL YOU SEE YOUR ITEM YOU ARE MISSING

I think its just refreshing your item page any time you vendor, but it works, temp fix until devs can fix.

I have accidently DE’d my Heavy Clefthoof Leggings while clearing my inventory. I went to the Item Restoration page and I do not see the item in the list. I actually do not see a single item I’ve DE’d since TBC patch has been released. I still have the Large Prismatic Shard from disenchanting.

I’ve posted a ticket already which told me to delete my cache or use a different browser, which I did. I still do not see a single disenchanted item.

What to do now?

Chiming in that vendoring water worked until it didn’t, and the merchant just began selling me back my water.

Put in a ticket and am waiting on a response; how do I escalate a ticket if needed (like if the person answering it refuses to acknowledge the issue)?

There will be a link at the bottom of the email if you get a response that doesn’t work for you which will re-open the ticket within a priority queue.

I wouldn’t worry about them not acknowledging an issue. You will get a response and a rational for it.

You don’t. The issue has already been ā€œescalatedā€. The issue has already been ā€œacknowledgedā€.

Has the issue actually been identified and is it a single issue? Asking since I’m looking at the Item Restoration page online and see nothing I’ve vendored in the last 5 days, but nothing I’ve DE’d since 5-16-21. Can we please get an update on this since it looks to have been 5 days since the last update? Specifically if it is going to take longer than a week to implement ā€˜the fix’, I would like to know now so that I can just re-farm the materials and recraft the item I mistakenly DE’d.

Blizzard never gives ETAs, as people forgot what the word Estimate means. I’m sure we’ll be updated when something is known.
