Item restoration - Benevolent Embersage's Wisdom (LFR-s3) not available

I won a shoulder tier piece from LFR today 6/11/24. (was not during awakened) I used it and received the Benevolent Embersage’s Wisdom

Since receiving season 3 LFR tier Benevolent Embersage’s Wisdom - it unlocked the transmog in the set for my druid (durabull-korgath)

The shoulder piece was still in the “can trade to to other players in same party for next x hours” yada yada but since it was s3 piece, i decided to vendor it. NOT knowing that it would also remove the transmog from my set AND vanish from the “buy back” vendor.

I tried the item restoration process built in by blizzard but that item is not showing up to restore. I have a snippet that proves I had this item

Blizzard, please assist me in restoring this item to durabull-korgath. I don’t see a way to add the snippet screenshot to this chat

You will have to open a ticket on this GMs dont come here and u will have to mention the item restoration didnt.
Im assuming this is retail if this is for remix the item restoration isnt working for remix.

That is correct. I’ve opened both a ticket and left this post.

The reason why I am even posting here is because GM’s have always directed users to post on the forums to grab the attention of “Developers”. Just keeping ahead of the game here.

Right so when they say to post on the forums they never mean here this is the one sub forum where they dont come u want bug forums. You can edit ur post and move it there.

Respectfully, how are you certain that these GM’s or developers do not look through this forum specifically?

I also can’t confirm if it is a bug or if it’s intended by design that this item cannot be restored via their item restoration tool

Because the blues have said it over the years that the developers dont come here for feedback suggestions or bugs I woudlnt lie to you plus when in doubt post in bug forums.

Did you check to see if you got the tier token back? Usually when you vendor something within the return window, you get back the payment method which in this case is the token. You should be able to just buy it again from the tier vendor.

sadly it was not a token i received. This was an item i won during the LFR - gave me the item which converted itself to a tier piece. I never got that item back

Customer Service just told me there is nothing they can do about it. If the item is not available in the item restoration process, it is lost forever.

I’m about to respond back to them about that nonsense. They still should do something or flag a developer to restore the item to me. I even have proof with a picture i took

That would be a waste of GM’s time and a pointless additional ticket, because the answer is and will remain “no” and you’re just going to have to accept that.

understand that I have had things performed even after they stated they couldn’t. It’s a matter of persistence.

You may classify it as a “waste of GM’s time” when actually it’s an opportunity to discuss this bug.

Hence why this is in the bug forum. The big issue why the item was removed from the transmog set when i vendored the tier - was the “This item can be traded to other players within # hours”

Sure. Posting the bug in the bug report forum is a necessary step for the developers to put in the work to prevent this from happening again and to empower the GMs to respond affirmatively to the cases in which it occurs.

But that’s the key. Even if the GMs could do it, they can’t until it’s authorized by the development team. Pestering them about something they are (at a minimum) simply not allowed to do is counterproductive and a good way to get banned for harassment of CS staff.

Here’s a recent blue post related to this topic.

GMs have no input and no influence in the bug fixing process. Don’t waste their time. That’s like yelling at the kid at the counter at McDonald’s because you don’t like the ingredients in the milkshake.

However, as i stated in my previous comment they’ve done things for me even after they said they couldn’t. It IS a matter of persistence.

Now, speaking of getting banned only applies to individuals that belittle others or harass people using foul languages, etc. You get the jist of what im saying here

Otherwise, creating a ticket & reporting an issue on things they may not have immediate control over with a chance to get banned would just defeat the purpose of that tool all together.
